Recording videos for Touhou games?

Post by DBV »

Just curious what you'd all suggest to record a video or two of a Touhou playthrough?

As in, what programs specifically could capture the screen during a Touhou game for sure (i'm pretty sure Fraps doesn't work). I already have all the editing software etc. I just don't know any programs that can capture the screen while Touhou is running full screen.

I've done it with fraps. Just make sure you have a good PC, or it won't record at 60fps and the game will look slow.

i heard the old fraps versions run much smoother and you dont need such a high requirement.
Never managed to find one of the old versions, though

I have an old Fraps version (1.9D), it can only record up to 30 fps, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't do as well on the a/v sync.

CamStudio is free/open-source and can record full screen.
