Anyone figure out how to open a UMD yet?

I had these really cheap little plastic cases by Pelican for holding UMD's and it scuffed up my Lumines when I tried to get the game back out. I'd sure like to swap the case for my Sampler Disc's one or even Spiderman 2, but I can't figure out how to get the case off the thing. Is there a way that anyone knows of? I'd also like to know for future reference in the used game scene so I could fix up a battered game.
