Batsugan Saturn arcade default difficulty?

Post by Dylan1CC »

I asked this before but it was waaaay back in September on the old forum so I have forgotten. I took Batsugan for a spin today and I am curious, for original game mode, is "normal" the default/arcade difficulty or is hard the default level which is the same default diff as the PCB?

Haven't played it for a month or so, but I seem to remember "normal" being the default difficulty in Arcade mode.

Cool, unless someone says otherwise then I'll take your word for it. Welcome to the forum, btw. Nice avatar, what's it from?

Looks like Kyo Kusanagi (from pre-KOF99) fanart.

Normal of course, the PCB has been set to the wrong difficulty. If you find the special edition easier (first round at least) it's because it *is* easier. Since they thought of adding three loops, you start from a slightly easier first round. In English, the "Normal" (non-looping) edition at normal difficulty is difficult like the "Special" edition at the second round (after you clear the game for the first time) on normal difficulty. In short, play them both at normal (which is the default) difficulty and you will have an easier time on the "Special" edition ( i think :?)

Oh whoops, I should have worded it better. I don't actually own the PCB. Thanks for the info though. :P
