Why are my posts mysteriously vanishing?

I've had more than one recent post mysteriously disappear a day or so after I posted them. I had one post disappear for a day then reappear. What the heck is going on? Is there something wrong with the forums??

Site announcements are your friend. :)

And adding to the weirdness, the forum came back up for a little bit earlier today with all posts newer than 6 days old missing, until bloodflowers restored from a day old backup. Any posts made during that time are now gone.
