Hi Score rules

Post by DazTM »

I fancy submitting a few of my scores, but have a few questions.

Does it matter what version of the game you play?
What settings do you have to play the game on, is it default?

It can differ per high-score thread, so always read the first post for more exact details.
When in doubt, either post a message with your question or pm the thread moderator. :)

It's usually safe to assume you should be playing on default settings with one credit unless the thread specifically states otherwise.

I had a question like this which i posted in the relevant high score thread but no one answered...

it was -

I have steel dragon evo for the PS2, which includes what I assume to be shienryu and shienryu explosion. but I've really no idea. if they are tthe same would shienryu be exactly the same as the saturn and ps versions? allowing me to submit high scores....

From what I understand the Saturn version mimics the arcade fairly faithfully (it is ST-V). PS version I had only had yoko mode, which seemed a bit wider than it should (not full 4:3, but wider than Shienryu on the PS2 pack - I think). PS version has slowdown and maybe the Saturn version does too. Point is, I'm sure there are differences, but usually just saying which version you played is enough. Explosion is a sequel.
