The Pope after next is the anti-Christ

Saint's Prophecy: Only Two Popes Remain

When the cardinals of the world pick John Paul II's successor, they may well be choosing the next-to-last pope.

The pope who then follows this choice in the Chair of St. Peter will be the last pope, and after his reign Rome will be destroyed.

Such has been the prophecy of St. Malachy, an Irish bishop who at his death in 1148 A.D. was discovered to have left behind a prophetic list of all future popes beginning with Pope Celestine II, whose papacy began in 1143 A.D.

Malachy included a single line in Latin identifying a characteristic of each pope.

Historians say Malachy's prediction – wherein he listed just 112 popes – has been amazingly accurate.

According to his list, there are just two more popes after the late John Paul II.

Here are the seven last popes as identified from St. Malachy's list:

106. Pius XII 1939 - 1958
Eugenio Pacelli
Pastor Angelicus
Translated: An Angelic Shepherd

107. John XXIII 1968 - 1963
Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli
Pastor Et Natua
Translated: Pastor and Mariner

108. Paul VI 1963 - 1978
Giovanni Battista Montini
Flos Florum
Translated: Flower of Flowers

109. John Paul I 1978 - 1978
Albino Luciani
De Medietate Lunae
Translated: Of the Half Moon

110. John Paul II 1978 - 2005
Karol Jozef Wojtyla
De Labore Solis
Translated: From the Toil of the Sun

111. The next pope
"Gloria Olivae"
Translated: The Glory of the Olive

112. The last pope!
"Petrus Romanus"
Translated: Peter the Roman

Wrote St. Malachy of the last pope: "In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge the people. The End."

According to his biographer St. Bernard of Clairvaux, in his book "Life of Saint Malachy," the saint was known to have the gift of prophesy and had even predicted the exact day and hour of his own death. Saint Malachy was canonized in 1190 by Pope Clement III.

While in Rome in 1139, Saint Malachy is said to have gone into a trance and received a vision in which he foresaw all the popes from the death of Innocent II until the end of time.

Afterward he wrote a few words about each pope and gave the manuscript to Pope Innocent II, who is said to have deposited it in Vatican Archives, where it lay forgotten until it was discovered in 1590 and published. At the time, some questioned its authenticity and it has been the subject of debate ever since.

The manuscript contains 112 prophecies, which scholars have matched with each of the 110 popes and anti-popes since Innocent II .

Here are the prophecies for the most recent popes:

# Paul VI. The words of the 108th prophecy are "Flos Florum" (Flower of Flowers). The 108th pope after Innocent II was Paul VI (1963-7. His coat of arms included three fleurs-de-lis (iris blossoms).

# John Paul I. The 109th is "De Medietate Lunae" (Of the Half Moon). The corresponding pope was John Paul I (1978-78, who was born in the diocese of Belluno (beautiful moon) and was baptized Albino Luciani (white light). He became pope on August 26, 1978, when the moon appeared exactly half full. It was in its waning phase. He died the following month, soon after an eclipse of the moon.

# John Paul II. The 110th is "De Labore Solis" (Of the Solar Eclipse, or From the Toil of the Sun). The corresponding pope was John Paul II (1978-2005). John Paul II was born on May 8, 1920 during an eclipse of the sun. Like the sun, he came out of the East (Poland). Like the sun, he visited countries all around the globe.

Today the final two prophecies are yet to be fulfilled:

The 111th prophecy is "Gloria Olivae" (The Glory of the Olive). The meaning of the olive is unclear. The Order of Saint Benedict – not St. Malachy – has claimed that this pope will come from its ranks and Saint Benedict himself prophesied that before the end of the world his Order, known also as the Olivetans, will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its final fight against evil.

The 112th prophecy says, "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Petrus Romanus (Peter the Roman), who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people.

Great, his biography was written by Bernard of Clairveaux, the same guy who led the catastrophic 2nd Crusade.

Anyway, if true, some spice gets added to life. If false, life goes on. A win, win situation I think.

So, how is Petrus Romanus the Anti-Christ? Sounds like you misread the "prophecy". The Dreadful Judge is not Petrus Romanus.

I had heard from some other sources that he was the anti-Christ, but I guess this link doesn't say it.

I think it'd be interesting if the pope after next was chosen in 2012 or something like that, the year the Aztecs predicted Armageddon.

Slightly OT, my new plan is to predict every possible outcome for everything, ever, and then get credit when it comes true.

It was the Mayans and December 21st, 2012 is the end of the long count. It is just a cycle. Apparently without any research done, people just assume it is the end of the world. I blame radio and Hollywood for this. In the end however, I think Hollywood can take part of the blame for everything that is wrong with the planet.

Let's see...the Antichrist will:

Scrap celibacy among the Catholics' clergy
Allow the making of women priests
Allow contraception/euthanasia/abortion
Condone, if not approve of, homosexuality
Institute a Rave Mass

But this Antichrist thing is an old game. You should read The Name of the Rose...

See thats the problem with the internet, you half scare yourself to death by reading it.

Scaring people with this stuff just makes the people not in power believe that the people in power will cause this Armageddon. Which ignites the initial overthrow of those in power, which causes war, which causes an Armageddon.

Anyway, regarding the Popes.. has it not occurred to anyone that the Popes maybe reading the prophecy themselves and living up to it.

Anyone who can predict the exact time of a natural occurring death, knows how to prevent it happening. So its kinda stupid.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Pope is the same like any other mere mortal, with the same needs & weaknesses and he should not be worshipped, or considered representative of God.
The only representative of God & mediate between god & humans is Jesus.
No other human can take that role, period & only he should have effect or impact on ones life.
For fooling around the world in this apsect alone, the Pope will burn in the fiery pits of hell!!!
And so will the people that worship Popes, Saints, Priests, Archbishops etc... as if they were God. Same goes for people that don't belive in Jesus at all.

Have a nice day.

Yeah, the pope is nothing special at all. Just happens to sit on the seat of Peter and given status as first amongst bishops. I don't recall anywhere stating the pope would have revelatory abilities as given to prophets. And there've been quite a few popes through the middle ages that should at the highest reside where Dante put them.

As for the ability to affect future events by publicly predicting them beforehand and the possibility of avoiding such fated events, that's too much effort to write...

I agree with the Pope thing but disagree with the other bits.
Was'nt Moses suposed to be a representative of God to his people?
And while I belive the man named the Christ excisted, I don't think he had any special powers at all.
And Is'nt the Biblical hell the Invention of the Catholic church?
(Ya poser! :)
And God dosen't exsist btw, he told me so himself ;)

Have a nice life :P

No, It's also mentioned in the Bible.
The Cathlic Church used the fear surrounding Hell to gain more money from believers who would buy "forgiveness Cards" from the pope to guarantee their salvation on the way to the brothels!

Nah, I'm pretty sure hell is a later invention, only mentioned in the Gospels witch came later.
They took the concept of both Heaven and Hell from "Pagan" belifes and made it into a reward/punnishment system for the Ignorant and illiterate masses.
The Bible as we know it today is "only" 500 years old btw, they edited it like crazy back in the day.
Early mistranslations made it clear that David had a horn and scholars are still arguing if Jesus walked "on" the water or "beside" it. :D

Some notes about Pope, Vatican & Jesus.
The Pope worked his way up the ranks for the money, glory & power, which is against the word of God. He had a lot of political involvements in Poland, which is a very strange thing to do not to mention unethical for a priest. If he had wanted to do some good while he was up there, why didn't sell some of the property of the Vatican & give it to the starving in Indonesia, Africa & Iraq? After all it's mostly blood money as you'll read below:

Pope & War.

Yesterday:
The Pope's involvement with War goes way back in the middle ages. Most of the Crusades were provoked by the Popes of the time. The Catholic priests in those days were preaching to the unliterated/ uncultivated & hungry masses of Europe, that they should deliver Fire & steel to the "enemies" of the Holy faith (Muslims) that had invaded the Holy Lands.
Of course they were really after the land & to plunder the reaches of the declined Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantium)

Ohh...
Don't forget the "forgiveness Cards" you could buy from the pope to guarantee your salvation on the way to the brothel!

Today:
One of the Groups that supported the War in Yugoslavia in early 90's, was the Vatican Church. There were a lot "New" believers they could get money from once the country was divided.
They also funded many other wars & Latin American dectatorship regims in the past.
Why didn’t the Pope do anything to stop the War in Iraq or the bombarement of Yugoslavia in 1999?

A lot of Eastern European Orthodox Churches that were closed once the Eastern Block collapsed, were reopened by the Vatican in mid 90's but they claimed the buildings & land as property of the Vatican Church & the Pope without paying a penny to the legal governments. (That’s stealing!)

The pope was a very good man, he didnt like people being at war and he didnt like nobody to die. He was very easy going and he didnt do a single fucking thing to you and you act like he's the god damn dictator of the world. He's just a harmless leader of a humungus religon.

And that’s all he got, which is nothing compared to eternity.

It’s funny but that’s exactly the opposite of what Jesus did:

Jesus was not very easy going, he bothered a lot of people of his time that were following the wrong path and preached, that if you died for your beliefs in God’s word, you would go to heaven.

Thus he deserved & received all the authorities on Earth & Heaven & the right to judge the Human race.

You should only praise God through Jesus & not waste your words on some dead/alive human leader, which you don’t really know what he got/will get after death!

These are just a few examples.
I've heard some stuff that Bible has been edited in the past 500 years & it's very different to the original text, but I've never read anything that proves this.

Ahem, indulgences.

Anyway, our current translation of the Bible is only a few hundred years old. Back in the day, folks who hadn't mastered Hebrew or decided to translate via another translation produced bibles filled with mistranslations. Among the most notable was that Moses had horns since his rays of light were mistranslated.

I don't know whether the Bible itself has been changed although there's quite a few differences between it and the orally derived Talmud such as Lilith being the first female rather than Eve and Satan being incredibly minor (and not Lucifer of course).

Let's not pick on the Catholics as all religions and secular ideologies are evil. Seems to be a lot of Protestants on this board :D

I'm an atheist but chuckle whenever people bring up conspiracies and make barbed accusations in the name of their religion against other religions.

LoneSage -

from what I understand, according to the Bible, Bible Prophecy, and non-Catholic christians, the Last Pope (be that 1, 2 or 3 popes after John Paul II) is meant to be the False Prophet, that helps the Anti Christ, not the Anti Christ himself.

the False Prophet is supposed to cause people to follow & worship the Anti Christ.
