Question about Saturn Hyper Duel

I was wondering how improved the graphics are in the "Saturn Version" on Hyper Duel.

They are a noticable improvement over the arcade graphics, as is the music, btw. Worth owning if you can find it.

I like the sound / look of the original better though, which should be featured in the Saturn version?

It may not be immediately obvious from the screenshots but the new graphics do look like they're remake quality in depth and not just a simple retouching.

Yeah, they are completely redrawn and look much nicer than in the arcade version, in my opinion. Just have a look at the comparison shots at the bottom.
