What happened to the other shmups forum?

Is this forum the replacement for the one that went missing or has this forum always been here? I recognise a few usernames.

That one went tits-up due to gamespy's ineptness, this is the new and improved follow up.

All the links from the Shmups.com main page should have already been updated by Malc, but if you see any links anywhere which haven't, a PM to the mod/admin team should get it fixed up.

If you know of anyone from the old forum who still thinks the forum is down and isn't aware of our new URL, please pass on this info to them, since I don't think we are able to retrieve email addresses from the old accounts easily atm.
