Do Cave SH-3 based arcade shmup PCBs save scores?

Is it possible for Cave SH-3 based arcade shmup PCBs to save your current high scores?

Also, on the DDP-DOJ PCB, there a couple of digitized voice clips of "Game Over" & "Please Continue" presented entirely in English and featured in the Sound Test Mode...how come they aren't played on a normal DDP-DOJ gaming session?

1) sh-3 boards, aka third generation cave, do save scores. anything before that, no.

2) ive encountered several games with audio samples not used in game.
