I have been trying to determine the purpose of these F3 connectors and thought I'd ask the very knowledgeable members on this board
In the picture above we know the purpose of the following connectors:
Code: Select all
G - JAMMA
S - Stereo (1:SPK R +, 2:SPK L -, 3:SPK R -, 4:SPK L +)
3P - 3'rd player
4P - 4'th player
But what function do the remaining have ?
Please help me solve this mystery.

I cant really add much but dont the two spinner/joystick carts Arkanoid Returns and Puchi Carat use the mystery connectors.
Also does the ( No cart ) single F3 pcb have these connectors.

Perhaps they do, but in that case what is the pinout ? Maybe a board member here has the Puchi Carat manual or the Arkanoid Returns ?

ud checked his manuals this weekend and discovered that the spinners are connected to the left and right input on the JAMMA connector.
Thank you ud!
The purpose of the other pins still remain unknown!
ud suggests that SI might be Serial Interface but that's just a hunch.
