A Shakespearian Shooter?

Post by Vexorg »

BE THOU WARNED:

This be not a similation, preparest thou thine self to destoroy thine enemy. Thou must aim truly thine weapons for the weak points of the f**kin machine. Perform as thou hast never performed before.

It's wherefore, meaning "why"!

I hope the last boss spouts some of Prospero's insults to Caliban at you.

Don't just dodge bullets, dance around them.

I remember when I was younger I had a Beta of a home-brew shmups called Fractoids that taught you how to do fractions. You'd fly through space dodging meteors and destroying them but you'd have limited fuel and you would need to collect these big oil drums. When you get to a drum you'd haft to solve a fraction equation to get the fuel. I swear if I owned the full version as a kid I'd be an ace mathematician now(well at fractions atleast).

This game looks very similar to fractoids, could be fun.
I did great so much water and milk that I threw up when I was little.

The actual word catching and scoring is fairly interesting. It reminds me of Twinbee bell juggling.

Too bad the rest of the shooting is fairly poor. The ships have way too much inertia, it's really hard to tell when you have been hit, enemy shots are difficult to see, and there are no interesting enemy patterns whatsoever.
bVork it up!

More people would of been interested if development was outsourced to Shanghai Alice and featured the Touhou characters wearing pantaloons. ;)

I would imagine enemies with silver noses (Othello reference), ruffians, the Scottish army, and centurions.

Besides who wouldn't want a boss battles involving Cesar, Othello, Pan, and Macbeth.
