Why was the NAOMI thread locked?

I don't get it. The guy was enthusiastic about the NAOMI hardware, and then some guys put some stupid replies, and then his threat gets locked.

I locked it because it didn't make any sense.

It was just a series of random statements anout the NAOMI, Cave and Raizing. No offense to the poster. I was apoligetic in my reply but felt I didn't have much choice as hardly anyone was replying and ones who were replying were being sarcastic as you said. So I also did it out of respect for Maikeru.

it made sense to me. maybe i'm retarded.

he wanted the other developers to use NAOMI hardware, too. and wanted to see a mars matrix 2 on NAOMI hardware. it didnt have a lot of periods in it, but it made sense.

I just think it's dumb to go around locking topics.

Undearneath the heaping pile of love for NAOMI, he mentioned something about how CAVE should be making games for NAOMI. That was the first, and last straw. In my jurisdiction, we ban people at that point.

I thought the post was compelling, the sarcasm was lame, and I was going to respnd to the post about how I like Naomi, too.

and so what? the guy would like cave to use the NAOMI hardware. that's his opinion, and that's fine. It'd probably kick ass. Sure, it'd be different, but i doubt it'd be a bad idea. and then we'd get cave games on the dreamcast. what's the problem!?

That guys post was hardly fanboyism it was just a positive view on something, There was no reference to it being better than anything or a biased comparison. The only problem with that thread was the lame cynical replies.

And the PS2 version of VF4 isn't remotely arcade perfect.

And so mod's shouldn't be open for discussion on the relevance/apropriateness of their actions???

i like also how you generalized the entire forum by one post i made in another "hi im new" topic.
there was nothing cynical or sarcastic about my response to the naomi thread btw.
now im going to make a thread about how i love the master system and about how awesome treasure games will be on it in an unintelligible manner, and everyone should do the same.
and i tought dylan did a fine thing by closing the thread, i think it was a joke acount anyway.

maybe because having a random internet stranger hate you judging on one post isnt too big of a deal? i could have posted "i politely dont aknowledge the existence of this topic" it would have been the same thing.
i think i wont bother posting anymore until its on a relatet precise subject, teh intarweb pisses me off!1
