Are most Dreamcast shmups arcade perfect?

Post by shmfan »

Does anyone know if the Dreamcast shmups such as Zero Gunner 2, Ikaruga and Giga Wing are arcade perfect?

Thanks.

It's the same hardware, so I would imagine so.

gigawing isnt arcade perfect, and is a cps2(?) game.

the graphics and sound are a tad nicer in the arcade, but there's much less slowdown on the DC, making the game harder.

i say get it still, its a nice game.

Most of the NAOMI ports are 99.9% accurate. None of them are totally perfect (some have tweaks to the gameplay or the framerate), but they're damned close.

Mars Matrix and Giga Wing 1 are both CPS2 ports (which are less perfect, but have additions). Gunbird 2 is a JAMMA board port (I don't know what the exact type is though). Bakuretsu Muteki Bangaiou was ported up from the N64, but totally retooled and revamped.

All the DC shmups I've got are missing the coin slots.
