Lowly DoDonPachi loser

Post by Jaq »

Hi
I come the the conclusion that I'll probably never reach the second loop of Dodonpachi, let alone finish it, but I still have very strong urge to fight the bee queen, so is there anybody who could consider donating a bee queen mame save state to a by now rather frustrated shmupbegger.

Thanks

heh, don't worry you're not alone - I've never learned to master any of the cave shmups.

if someone wants form a club for people who never reached second loop in Dodonpachi, I'm ready to join.

Why not just keep using save states until you get there?

Word, don't be so hard on yourself. Cave shmups are balls hard, and even getting past the first loop of DDP is quite an accomplishment.

DDP is apparently one of the easier ones. Don't be afriad to bomb.

Yeah, if you're just looking to 1CC the first loop, strategic bomb usage goes a long way. DDP gives you plenty, you just need to figure out when's best to use them.

Well... Saturn Mode pits you against the bee at the end of the first (and only I guess) loop.

'Tis the only reason I didn't 1CC it the second time I played it... fuckin' bee.

I'm fairly convinced they should include a soft foam bat to strike things with when frusterated.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.

If you don't 1cc it but you fulfill the other requirements like collecting the bees or achieving the huge chains required, are you allowed to enter the 2nd loop?

The thought that it existed cheats for ddp actually hadn't occurred to me  . But now when I've found the cheat dat I've been Hibachi dueling for almost a day straight, and well big hibachi is one thing but that little firebee is't fun at all, I think I'm just gone try to 1cc properly.
anyway in my frustration I made a 3d hibachi. it isn't very detailed or textures just yet but I think I got the proportions quite ok?
