I have a review of WURM in an old Video Games & Computer Entertainment mag from back in the day that said it was an okay game but suffered from lackluster play and poor controls. FYI

That's a shame. It looks pretty cool.

i found it here

they rated it (according to Babelfish)
Scenario-2/5
Music-3/5
Operativity-3/5

as it looks cool. it is still a candidate for a buy to me (not very soon though). Gamefaqs also has a few reviews that make it sound interesting as well.

I tried the game out. It's not a pure shmup. The shump sections are pretty good and there is a cool part with a first person view where you talk to people to build up the chances of beating the enemy, but the platform sections suffer from poor controls and limited ammo. Which is a bummer, becuase Moby should have been more fun to control.
