Is Face's 1992 "Sand Scorpion" Jamma PCB a shmup?

Here's an ebay auction for a rare Japanese Face Co. Ltd. produced 1992 arcade Jamma PCB "Sand Scorpion" that requires a Tate'd monitor to play:

yes, it's a vert shooter. i was just checking out face's releases too... weird.

of course, all i know if from writeups and pictures.

I remember this from mame several years ago. Nothing fancy.
Yet it is a shmup.

It's an okay old-school shmup in the Twin Cobra & Raiden vein. Not as good as R Shark in my opinion.
