Wow...just wow...even if the oldest sets of R-Type ads show its age, it's still really amazing to look at.

Why are the American ads always so fricking lame compared to the Japanese ones???

Do they think that American people are incapable of appreciating good art work or something???

I've actually had that arcade flyer posted at Japanese Gaming for months now. I have an SFC Super R-Type flyer around here somewhere that I've just noticed I've not posted. That sucks b/c I just went through my stack of flyers to find things I had accidentally not posted, and didn't see it. :/ It's not too special though -- just a larger print of the box art and some crap on another page.

There's also the original Plyastation cover which looks like the US one without all the stupid campy ad crap. It actually used to run quite a few bucks until it was reprinted w/ the less-is-more style cover.
