Oops I totally mixed up both. Fixed and thanks. Never heard of Harmful Park.BulletMagnet wrote:If it's "horizontal" you mean, I'd add Harmful Park to that list.
EDIT: WOW, that's not really what I had in mind when I asked for an horizontal shooter, but thanks though. I'll keep it on the list.

I volontary didn't include the old ones, think I should look unto them? The Coop wrote:Glad I'm not the only one to notice that.Turrican wrote:there is NO vertical in that list.![]()

You also forgot Darius Gaiden, Thunder Force Gold Pack 1, Thunder Force Gold Pack 2, Gradius Deluxe Pack, Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus (All Saturn), and Gradius III & IV (PS2).
How much should I excpect to get Hyper Duel outside Japan?

While TF2 (Gold Pack 1) may not blow your socks off, TF3 (Gold Pack 1), TFIV and TF AC (Gold Pack 2) are very good. Gradius II (Deluxe Pack) is a very good older entry in the series, and the Salamander pack has the little seen Salamander 2 on it with two versions of the classic original game. Darius Gaiden is one of the best entries in that series, and while Gradius III & IV may not contain the best of the series, I enjoyed them (though III is noticeably tougher than the SNES port).
As for Hyper Duel, expect an average somewhere between $70-$100 depending on its condition.

I'll look unto that, I might pick up the ones who are readilly available (unlike the TF Goldpacks) Salamander is being ported on PSP, so why not wait for it instead? What about the Gradius on PSP?The Coop wrote:Indeed you should.

Hum I guess I will have to wait then as for ebay, the usual overpriced "directly from Japan" auctions are at it and same goes for the auctions on Japanese websites. The Coop wrote:As for Hyper Duel, expect an average somewhere between $70-$100 depending on its condition.
What about Border Down, how much should I excpect for the Deluxed Edition?

-Parodius Deluxe Pack
-Sexy Parodius
-Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius
and one collection for PSX also includes the very first Parodius for MSX. But don't ask me which one.

Arrrg that thing sucks big time, I watched the video on Youtube feels like it's on Master System or something. Honestly I have an FM-Town Marty 2 and I haven't even used it yet, does all FM TOWN games feels like they are comming from another dimension?rolins wrote:On the FM-Towns, Rayxanber is the only hori shooter I've come across.
There's also Viewpoint, it's isometric shooter though, but it's kinda horizontal.

Rayxanber is a highly overrated game. Other games like Tatsujin Ou, Kyukyoku Tiger, and Raiden Densetsu are very close to arcade and run smooth and fast. But those are vertical shooter, if you're only interested in horis then this system will only disappoint you.Lawfer wrote:Arrrg that thing sucks big time, I watched the video on Youtube feels like it's on Master System or something. I recently posted a Alltynex on youtube. It's a doujin shooter on the FM-Towns but it was developed by Siter Skain the creators of Kamui. Check it out and you'll see the FM-Towns games do run quite fast.

Oh, so your the guy with those nice videos! I have watched them before, actually you were the only one that posted a video of Tatsujin Ou (one of the 3 rare/collectors game on FM-TOWN Marty)rolins wrote:Rayxanber is a highly overrated game. I actually like that trailer by the way, but the music sounds like it's comming from a DS or something.
Not Shadow of the Beast II lol, I even prefer the Genesis version more.rolins wrote:Check it out and you'll see the FM-Towns games do run quite fast.
In all honesty, I don't find the FM-Town Marty to be that much of a good system. I mean, compare Rayxanber (1991?) from the FM-TOWN Marty to Last Resort on Neo Geo (1992?) and that's like comparing a Master System game to a SNES game (Literally)
EDIT: Thanks for the videos on Youtube and filling up the list by the way.

The Gradius Pack on the PSP has 1, 2, 3, 4 and Gaiden on it. From the reviews I've read, they turned out well.Lawfer wrote:I'll look unto that, I might pick up the ones who are readilly available (unlike the TF Goldpacks) Salamander is being ported on PSP, so why not wait for it instead? As for the special edition of Border Down, expect to pay quite a bit. By the time Under Defeat came out on the Dreamcast, it somehow became "OMG RARE L@@K!!!". As a result, the price doubled. So expect at least $120-$150 for that one.

Hum sounds tempting. But right now i don't have a PSP rightly available, but in the future I could get a hold of my cousin PSP and get the game. The Coop wrote:The Gradius Pack on the PSP has 1, 2, 3, 4 and Gaiden on it. From the reviews I've read, they turned out well.
HAHAHAH, well so then I would pay that money for the game.... If I had the opportunity that is. (No good offers on ebay right now, neither in the japanese auctions)The Coop wrote:As for the special edition of Border Down, expect to pay quite a bit. Rolins, I just rewatched your video and... is it just me or your not playing on an actual FM-Town Marty?rolins wrote:Rayxanber is a highly overrated game. Well I clearly stated in my description that I'm using an emulator.Lawfer wrote: Rolins, I just rewatched your video and... is it just me or your not playing on an actual FM-Town Marty?
Yup, I don't own one. I've been trying to get my hands on a Marty for several months now. I check ebay everyday, but they're all out of my price range. I'm waiting until I buy a Marty 2 for under $120 with shipping included.EDIT: Rolins don't you actually own an FM-TOWN Marty?

Don't get mad about it lolrolins wrote:Well I clearly stated in my description that I'm using an emulator.
For what need? You must already have played all the games that the Marty had to offer (at least the interesting ones and they are few)rolins wrote:Yup, I don't own one. I highly doubt you will be able to get one outside of Japan for such a low price and I am sure you're looking for one in mint condition, right?
FM-TOWN Marty are hard to come by outside of Japan and FM-Town Martys 2 are even harder. Your best bet is to get one directly from Japan of you want to get it in that price range.
And even if you get a Marty 2 for the price you want, what then? The rare good games on this console are way overpriced. Splaterhouse and Tastjuin Ou are very expensive. That's also the main reason I only have Shadow of the Beast 2 on this console, regarding the quality of those games they aren't worth the 200$ for splatherhouse neither the 100$-150$ for Tastjuin Ou.

Because I love the games so much that I want to experience the real thing. Also I haven't played all the shooters yet. I still have yet to play Microcosm, Shooting Towns, Super Shooting Towns, and Excellent 10.Lawfer wrote:For what need? Maybe I'll buy some games along the way. I really want to pickup a complete copy of Tatsujin Ou some day. But in the mean time I'll be happy just playing games from CDRs.And even if you get a Marty 2 for the price you want, what then? The rare good games on this console are way overpriced. Are you familiar with Neo Geo games? Is it worth buying a Neo Geo AES for the shooters? (the only shooters I know on Neo Geo is Last Resort and Last Hope)rolins wrote:Because I love the games so much that I want to experience the real thing. Also I haven't played all the shooters yet. Unless you like paying up to $700 for each of them, no. MVS is the way to go, the only reason to get AES is for collectability purposes. Prehistoric Isle 2 is my favorite Neo Geo hori, btw.Lawfer wrote:Are you familiar with Neo Geo games? Is it worth buying a Neo Geo AES for the shooters? There's lots of good arcade-only shooters that you'd probably like to check out. Progear no Arashi, for one.

Yeah I know of the price, but I saw some on ebay that aren't 700$ lol. Anyway, MVS uses the same stuff as AES, but there is surely is a little difference, no?
