There's never going to be an official word before the arcade release but a DC port should be considered extremely likely.
I'd give BD a 9/10. It's one of the best side scrollers ever. It perfectly captures the oldschool Taito feel, but with new school polish. I love the music, I think playing for score is a blast, and it's a good mix between twitch and learning. It's also a style of shmup abandoned since ThunderForce V and fills a void.
I expected good things considering the pedigree, but BD srpassed all my expectations. One of the best shmups on DC.

Take that pirates
Not that I'll sell it, but nice to know in case my tastes change.
I've got the LE one to. Man i can't believe how much the value had risen. I bought it on ebay (peorder) for £30.
I'm still not a big fan of the soundtrack though.
Yeah, the most impressive thing about Border Down is the music IMO.
Sealed copies go for outrageous prices thanks to the fools from Ebay even though the non-LE edition can still be found for retail price elsewhere. However, used copies are cheaper than retail. So, all in all, no depreciation, which is as much as can be expected.
More classic PS fans are always good. I actually own 5 different copies of PSII (Genesis, Saturn, GBA, PC, and DC). My fave traditional RPG series.
Oh, and as for girls here, come on. Shooter girls would have to be really strange people. What, you interested in hearing their opinions on games or is there an ulterior motive at hand here...?
I have the soundtrack on computer, but I haven't heard anything from the stage 5 music and after... because I haven't gotten there yet.
The game is very great, I'm just very, very incostent with this. Rando said that Snow Fox(Stage 5) is the best music in the game, I just hope he's right...
Ed: He asked for mustard Eddy! Do you have corn in your ears mister?

He is, oh my god he is!
The soundtrack's arrange version of it is just phenomonal, I get so amped up hearing that mini guitar solo.
Approach your target and attack! Your mission starts now! ARE YOU READY!?
GaijinPunch wrote:Not necessarily. Sealed LE's still fetch 10,000+ on YJ, so you can't blame Ebay idiots just yet.
I meant sealed normal copies, which can go for over $80 on Ebay even though you can still get it for $65. Everybody sells the LE edition for over $100 so no surprise there.

I still haven't played this, I remember seeing BorderDown on TV, the visuals looked decent, I could have got this along with Ikaruga, but when I went to buy them both were sold out
I love it. Hori shooters have a soft spot with me and it sucked that DC never had one for so long. Therefore I greeted Border Down with open arms and came away more than happy. I commend G.Rev for putting extra effort in the game's home port, it's a nice touch that Remix mode is more pattern oriented and Arcade is more traditional hori style.
