does anyone know where i can get an svideo cable for a Sega CDX? all i have is the RF unit.

really, even a composite cable would be great. better than the RF one.

Well its not simply a soldering task. You would probably be best doing the jrok method.
Taking the RGB lines and feeding them into the Jrok.

I think CDX is same as Genesis 2, you will have to check.

The JROK might work but you can also use my circuit for the CDX S-video. The mod is a little tricky since opening up the CDX is a pain, but here's the schematic on my website (at the bottom):
