What Are You Afraid Of?

Post by IlMrm »

Let's share some fears! We are not gonna make fun of each other, right?

I am afraid of:

- Tiny spiders. Only small ones, but I am not afraid of big ones. :?
- Heights, when there's no guardrails.
- The few seconds while your reflect gauge is charging...

Cancer.
I am not afraid of them, but big, hairy, long-legged bugs freak me out. (With the exception of Mantises and Ladybugs). And don't get a caterpillar close to me.

Something bad and horrible happening to my nephews.

Dying alone.

Drowning, though I'm not afraid of water at all.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.

Heights, definitely...when I'm in a big city all I have to do is look up from the ground at some of the tall buildings and I start feeling anxious.

Spiders and bugs don't bother me if I just see one walking around, but if one manages to crawl onto my person without me noticing, when I do eventually discover it I tend to get a bit freaked out. I don't like bees either, but at least those generally buzz loudly enough that they can't really "sneak up" on you.

Highway driving. Weak, I know, but for some reason I hate driving on highways, I always feel that a crash is imminent, even though I've never been in an accident before.

Those are the ones I can recall offhand...

Fear itself.

Beyond that, the only other thing is flying. I've been through enough crap with my anxiety disorder that there really isn't much that scares me anymore.

Deja Vu was awesome! Not at all scary to people who are cool.

"Dentists "

I used to be afraid of dentists, but 6 years of braces and orthodonist appointments pretty much cured me of that.

Forgot to add surgery. I had a ruptured appendix when I was eight, and was in the hospital for ten days. I hope that's the last time I'm ever "under the knife" again, unless it's something simple and out-patient.

"Stage 6 in Super C "

For me, EVERY stage in Contra: Shattered Soldier!

Any sort of instant death, especially:
- crushing :(
- decapitation :(
- falling from the top of a tall ladder like the kind we have at work... while carrying something heavy...
- knitting needles [goddamn CSI! :x]

Anything ugly... that is, bugs and things, the idea of how they can be smashed easily into a gooey, unrecognizable paste  Well, also, and germs and parasites and things they might be carrying or venom they might have.

That someone will find this out and deliberately harass me about it--throwing ugly spikey caterpillar bugs at me and so on :?

Stuff.
