I know 4 Parodius games.
The first one Parodius Da! is the best.

I don't think any are available on PS2... Try PC Engine or Sega Saturn.

If I remember correctly all Parodii games are available for PS1

The Parodius Deluxe Pack (Contains Parodius 1 & 2)
And Sexy Parodius, which is my personal favorite.

This are all three arcade Parodius games. However there exists a fourth Parodius game exclusively for the SNES. Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius.

EDIT:
I just checked the Xeno Files of this board and it seems Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius (Parodius 3) is also available for PS1.

And the first Parodius (on MSX) is available on one of the Konami MSX Classics Collections. So actually all 5 Parodii are available on PS1.

In case you're interested, the MSX collection, Deluxe Pack, Jikkyo and Sexy are all available on the Saturn as well, and to the best of my knowledge the ports on both systems are good.

Yes, I have very Parodius game ever released, and all of them for the Sega Saturn. And it happens they also are available for Playstation.

Like it has been said before, this is how you gonna find them on PSX and Saturn , in the order they were originally released:

Konami Antique MSX Collection ( contains Parodius (1st) )
Gokujyou Parodius Da! Deluxe Pack (Contains Parodius Da! (2nd) and Gokujyou Parodius (3rd) )
Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius (4th)
Sexy Parodius (5th)

If I had to pick only one, it would be the Deluxe Pack, as it contains the 2 best games in the series IMO.

For me, that's how the series goes:

Gokujyou Parodius > Parodiusa Da! > Sexy Parodius > Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius > Parodius

All of them are pretty good though, and you won't go wrong getting any of them. Well the original Parodius is very dated, but you will get a nice collection of games with it :)

I have both the PS1 Parodius Deluxe Pack and the MSX collection for sale/trade in my thread, if you're interested.

Another guy with the full Saturn collection here. They tend to be very inexpensive on eBay too (or were when I grabbed 'em!). Can't recommend these versions enough.

I always liked the overall atmosphere of Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius the best, I think it's the unrelenting crazy commentary that does it for me.

I have the complete PlayStation lineup. All of them are great, so it doesn't really matter which one you get. I guess my favorite would be Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius.

I used to own the MSX collection, and the first Parodius is interesting, but very dated.

There's also a Parodius strategy-RPG on Playstation called Paro Wars. It's really quite good.

For everything you ever wanted to know about the series, go HERE.

"Parodius!" for the PAL Saturn is the same as the "Deluxe Pack" released in Japan, and has "Da!" and "Gokujo" on it.

Just to clarify, neither Da! nor Gokujyo is the same game as the MSX title, which predates both.
