Thanks for the tip, I just tried that and got about 7 million points with one shot on a boss.

Congrats, but 1CC is not the only goal of this game.
During the long laser / unshootable bullet spams (where building a x64 multiplier doens't work since there's nothing to shoot), are you saying there's a more lucrative scoring option than Hadou -> collect medals until it wears off -> suicide -> wait for pattern again -> Hadou? Especially if I get some extends in the process that allow me to Hadou extra times.

Note: this seems easier to milk on the later bosses which use the longer lasting patterns.

Please share if you've got a better technique, I'm always open to suggestions. And since I haven't spent a whole lot of time in arrange it's very probable there is something better.

Edit: You're right about the high score list here, there's not a lot of entries yet. I'll submit some scores when I get home tomorrow and try out the other characters, although I'd rather get back to working on 1.00.

Anyone in the states (or anywhere else for that matter) still waiting for their game?
Mine shipped out on the 23rd, still nothing.
Customs office cannot help me unless I get the customs form number which only
playasia can provide.

Just curious if anyone else was still waiting..
this is the last time I use the cheap method for shipping options.

Play-Asia takes way too long. That's why I went with NCSX and got the game in 3 days after they shipped it because they are in the US as well.

After having to wait almost a month for Futari and ESPgaluda II, as well as getting screwed out of the 1.01 code on Futari, I'm never using Play-Asia again.

I used the cheapest shipping from play asia only once. It was for Beatmania 2dx 9th style, preordered the instant it was available and it shipped out a few days before the actual release date. Took between 2 and 3 weeks to get to me, the whole time I was all worried it was lost in the mail somewhere.

I wouldn't worry too much, but I also would advise never using the cheap shipping again in the future. With play asia I never go below the cheapest boxed method.

With that said, I should mention I purchased the LE from NCSX, paid maybe 9 dollars shipping and received it on the 25th. I like play asia and feel bad about jumping ship, but I was pretty much converted to NCSX the first time I bought something from them.

Anyone else's MMP high scores resetting on them? I've been playing 1.0 only and I notice my high score will be there from last time I played, but after a few credits, it randomly resets back the default high score table. Wierd

No, I'm saying this doesn't "break the game", its an intended high scoring gimmick, not something to make the game easier for 1CC.

Cool, thanks for clarifying.

I just had another "w00t" moment. I kept dying during the train section on stage 5 for some reason, but never saw a bullet or anything contact me. I just figured out one of the cars has a flamethrower, and the flames do not show up very well under the mountain of other stuff going on in that section.

Figures, flamethrowers were my bane in Ibara as well, I died so many times before I noticed them.

I've experienced that too. Quite annoying :?

It's a "daily" high score table, Death Smiles had the same thing but I believe also kept overall high scores...which MMP and PS don't seem to do in the port. I thought that was kind of annoying as well.

I think if you go to the "leaderboards" option, then choose "local" it will show all of the scores.

I'm pretty lost on the appeal of MMP Arrange. I've been giving it a shot the last couple of days, but I just can't find my interest. I guess I'm mostly turned off by games where I have to provide my own difficulty. The original MMP is such a well-balanced dance of risk and reward, but when I have to literally take it upon myself to manually fill the screen with bullets I tend to tune out. Love the original game, but MMP Arrange is tending toward the bottom of this collection for me.

OMG NUKE THE TREES!

I was playing more Pink Sweets arrange tonight. On the first level, apparently some of the trees next to the river crossing give a bunch of extra points if you use the rose cracker on them. A bunch of birds go flying out and little score icons go berserk. It doesn't look like a whole lot of points, but it's definitely funny regardless.

The Flamingos are in Arcade (or 1.00 for that matter) aswell, but don't give any points. :(

Every Yagawa game needs Flamingos.

Hehe, that's pretty much exactly what it looks like.

So ... we're playing a game where we destroy wind-up toys, and burn down the forest.

Why not just take the next logical step and attach a sign to the level 7 opening doors that reads "Baby Milk Factory".

I love the flamingos in garegga, they gush points.
I still have not played this yet, DFKBL arrange is eating my brain and time.
A year and a half ago, I would have stabbed donald trump in the face for a MMP pcb.
Now I have it +PS and I cant bring myself to open it, it feels sacred like losing my v-card.

Got my LE copy today. I agree the opening menus are absolutely fucking ugly, but the games themselves kick ass, so there's not much point to bitch.

Also, lack of arrange mode does kinda suck. I have my 360 hooked up to a cab and it just sits there at the same menu screen. I don't want to leave it on one static image like that so I can't leave on the cab and come back to it every few hours.

EDIT : arrange -> attract

I'm guessing you mean attract mode... The closest you'll get is going to screen settings and selecting the menu that allows you to adjust the rank meter, but even then there are a few static things going on which could result in screen burn.

For some reason my firing frequency in Pink Sweets isn't going over 12 no matter how fast I mash shot. Any tips?

Mash faster. I've been able to get 30 (that's the maximum) with the original controller. Usually I end up with 15 or 20.
