I'd never sell my bastardised PS1 version of Symphony of the Night.
I have an Asian version that has English language and the music CD and art book that came with the PAL version all in the same box.
I'll probably never sell my Mushihimesama for PS2 in the box with the figure either.
the game you'd NEVER sell, no matter what.

For me it used to be my Blazing Star AES cart. But I was offered $760 and I gave in. SOLD
I guess now it would be my Sega Sonic Boom board which I bought from Malc.
I've still misplaced my Brikinger/Iron Clad CD. I have the casing, but I guess the CD is hiding in another case. Sod's Law says that it has to be one of the rarest and most valuable titles

I suppose if I needed the money, yeah I'd probably sell any game. Of course I suspect it depends on what I'd 'need' the money for. So long as there is some type of resale the possibility will continue to exist but currently I keep the games or items I intend to hang on to for the time being. I suppose in fifteen years my attitude may change as a consequence I may find the assets in the video games I own (so long as the assets exist by then) to be better allocated elsewhere. Every man has his price and I'd rather not wallow in dedication to a game just because I'm proud, or rather acting proud.
So far as milestone or special games go I suppose any technical first game for a given system/platform is worthy but I'd rather have it narrowed even further, the pick of the rest so to speak. Arguably one of my favourite games of all time I already sold once to try and obtain a different type of release; Gran Turismo 3 I bought as a Greatest Hits, new, and after considerable time I decided to get a different version, an original release. I sold it, bought another copy off ebay and much to my chagrin it not having a photograph in the auction description hurt as it wasn't GH or original but one of the copies from the GT3 bundle PS2s. I suppose the copy I have now is suitable and perhaps I won't get rid of it again, at least I didn't believe I would have until I thought about it again.
Pardon that, a lot of games I had in the past are gone, such as NHL 95 on Genesis and Bubble Bobble on Game Boy and even though they were lost or stolen I think these titles hold a fonder spot in my memories and heart than anything I currently own today. Sad but true.

What's funny is that, back at day, I found lots of theories about how to get the good ending. I heard people saying you had to find all warps, or always get the map on levels that needed a map BEFORE going back on the level (I actually did that, it's very difficulty to pull it off), that you had to kill all the bosses using the revolver, or that indeed there was a time you had to beat to see the good ending, or all of this together...Shocky wrote:Haha, it's madness. The first time I completed it, I got the "good end" accidentally, i.e. I had happened to met the criteria. The next time I completed it, the princess was dead! And every time after that! I kept telling people that I'm sure I got a different ending once. I tried using all the possible warps and space wings but no... then years later I read in the internet what the requirement was. GRRRR Konami damn you!Shatterhand wrote:
Edit: and its ending actually make sense and it isn't stupid.
SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED PENGUIN ADVENTURE SPOILER
when I finished that game for the nth time, and the king says "It's too late, she's dead", I felt like saying "Dead my ass, I didn't fight all those monsters, jumped holes, killed bats, dodged lightining from the skies, swimmed trough frozen rivers and all that shit so she would DIE! She's going to EAT THAT FUCKING APPLE, I AM GOING TO FORCE IT THROUGH HER THROAT , AND SHE'S GOING TO LIVE AGAIN GODDAMN!
Only with the internet I found out the completely stupid way to see the good ending.
END OF SPOILER![]()
... and all of this would have made sense in the game. But the real criteria is just plain dumb.
