Well, this shows just how far that game can be pushed. I assume it's still A-L and C-S?

I just saw those scores and my jaw dropped. What? I wonder how long he's been sitting on that score. :shock:

A-L and C-L.

Go here to look at the scores for the first 50 issues of Arcadia and a few Mooks. Very handy if you want to see how scores progressed. Looks like they'll add the rest of the issues as well as Gamest issues later.

That's an enormous increase over WTN's last score. :shock:

I'm also really glad that they're archiving all of the old issues.

Well, this is an interesting twist from previous C-S domination (as I understand it, all previous Gamest/Arcadia scores were C-S, but I'm limited to guessing here, because they never tracked the S/L part). Interesting facts: WTN got his score as 1P, and TAC got his score as 2P. Also, both TAC and WTN are listed as Dimahoo Miyamoto counterstop. Does that mean they've both submitted same month?

Getting old Gamest/Arcadia scores is an exciting development. Also, it was nice to finally actually read the Arcadia rules people like to allude to so often.

What the hell, those Dodonpachi scores. :shock: The 712m video (the highest-scoring video I can find) already looks damn near perfect, so the previous record we knew of (754m) was already hard to imagine. But another hundred million on top of that is ludicrous. I bet there's some sort of glitch they found that isn't the same as the one used here.

Perhaps not as impressive, but the Dragon Blaze WR has also increased by nearly 40k and is once again a Quaid score (CYS-SAK, who also held the previous Quaid record). CYS-SAK also set a new Strikers 1999 record, beating out the old one by 2900 points.

The Gunbird record with Tetsu increased by a whopping 600 points (and I think it's by the same guy who's been streaming Strikers 1945 II from the Daytona III arcade).

Awesome. I remember when I was chatting to adversity1 in Tokyo in 2014 and we were discussing Arcadia closing their magazine-based score submission system, I had mentioned that an online submission system would probably be the best route for them and for the wider international community as a whole, as it's easily trackable, instantly updatable and viewable from anywhere. Happy to see it's already bearing fruit.

Also, WTN and TAC both have a Great Mahou counterstop with Miyamoto now? Insanity. I knew WTN was still working on it since I last spoke to him, as he had recorded a 99.8mil run that he showed me at Ebisen, and had remarked that the maximum possible score attainable is around 102mil, but he missed out on the counterstop on that run as there is a section at the beginning of the last stage that is heavily RNG-dependent and can vary the score by as much as 2mil in either direction. That Dodonpachi record is also quite insane.

However... some score are again missing. I remember a new top score for Gunbird 2 with Hei Cob and other. Interesting the real top score in Ketsui from GAN. Him play in the same game center of SPS.

Arcadia hi-score pages was better however. In this high score table (JHA) extra comments are missing.

A Daytona III player mentioned on twitter that he was surprised he didn't see some recent "breakthrough" Game Tengoku and Sonic Wings 2 scores (if I read it correctly) and assumed it meant the player (or players) are waiting until they get a better score to submit.

I wonder if the SW2 score is in response to ProjectAKO's recent WR.

The submission forms have an area for comments so probably at least a few players wrote something but I bet they haven't had the time to add them to the listings. It's odd that they would include it on the form if they weren't going to use it though.

Is possible because some jap hi-score are sure the response of a western activity:

- Golden Axe by Last Ninja 2 (618.5);
- Metal Slug by Ben Shinobi (3.566.000);
for exemple....

But... who is / are the players in working on Sonic Wings 2 in Daytona III?

He himself plays at Daytona III, but I think he says that he had been looking forward to seeing how far players in "the Egota area" could push games like SW2 and Game Tengoku considering their popularity around there. Game in Ebisen is in Egota so I assume that's what he's talking about, but I've never seen them play those games there (WTN has posted a score or two in the past, though). He might just mean he wishes they would work on those games.

People actually play SW2? :oops: I'll be surprised if anyone from Japan saw my SW2 videos. None of them have more than 500 views. Competitively that game seems very unpopular, and for good reason. There is no other game on earth that is worse for scoring.

SW2 has far to be pushed. The current Arcadia score, being 20 years old, is pretty free. Especially the MaoMao score is low, even though she's is the best in the game for score. Not sure why everyone gave up on MaoMao so quickly when she's obviously the best scorer, except that she's shit for survival play.

I think Sonic Wings uses the last two digits for continue count, so that's actually ten continues.

I noticed my old GB2 score is on there. I got 3,770,500 last year. https://www.twitch.tv/okina_flying_fant ... v/23890334
(Autofire was used if that's a concern.)

I also noticed the Marion and Valpiro records on there are identical, with same player and same max chain. I'm guessing that's an error? If not it's fascinating.

Are the Darius Gaiden records seriously higher without autofire than they are with autofire, or did you just mix up the two?

As long as Mokkun and MathU's scores are legit, they're higher.

I'm curious why MathU hasn't posted his scores on the forum, though.

Could we get the ship split for Thunder Dragon 2? P1 and P2 are different ships, not just different player side.

Are there any records tracked for the 1P side of Darius Gaiden Extra? Does anyone even play that?
