Wow, amazing. I guess no one really played F-14 at all since I already got 2,700,000 after 2 months.

Not even a WR is good enough to warrant entering initials.

Was probably hugely disappointed with the run due to 1 mistake towards the end, stormed off with a tear rolling down his cheek

It's really wonderful how this community is full of pieces of [Edit: sorry]people with no respect at all towards the people who are way above them in their own hobby.

[snipped because I got hot headed in response to being called a piece of shit... over a joke]

You're a fucking idiot. I've done more for this community, both in my local area and online, than your save-state-practicing-stunfest-restarting elitist attitude will ever do. I don't fucking care how good you are. If you can't take a small sarcastic remark about a world record run player not leaving initials, then you are the piece of shit.
Ok, Errpo apparently didn't get the joke but wtf are you up to man? "save-state-practicing-stunfest-restarting elitist attitude" - seriously wtf?

I don't even care if he didn't get the joke, he just saw an opportunity to make an attack and false generalization about me and the community.
If I had no respect for players "above me", then why would have have started a thread to honor and recognize the best players on the site? Why do I regularly congratulate players of all skill level when they make accomplishments?

I have no personal issues with Erppo, never have, but if he wants to insult me by calling me a piece of shit (OVER A JOKE), I can let it slide and succumb to his holiness and expert shmup abilities, or I can tell him to fuck off how I please.

I also don't hold grudges, so if he wants to apologize for the comment (which wasn't just directed at me, but the forum at large) , I'll delete mine and let bygones by bygones

Sure, I can apologize for my insult which was kinda uncalled for, but I maintain my view that the attitude displayed by said joke was really shitty. These people are being really nice and awesome by streaming the play from multiple world class players so I don't think it's very cool that the first response is just making fun of them.

You're both right. People need to stop butting heads like this.

Almost makes me wanna give Futari BL Original another go. Maybe I can poop out 1B eventually.

They didn't save the video, so unless someone here recorded it, I think it's gone.

That's a shame, I wish matmouse would archive their videos in case some of us missed it live, something like that run should be put in the highlights section! :D

The player who got the new Futari BL Original record, that was the previous WR holder wasn't it? I noticed the top high score on that PCB matched the listed score here. His lines were great to see, especially since I like playing that mode quite a bit!

I think they only archive their talk shows. They turn archiving back off once they're done.

I've never seen the Futari player enter his full initials, but I'm 99.99% certain that it's Darurun.

I locally recorded a few hours of their stream a few weeks back but it was too much hassle to keep up. Now I wish I had, we might have had a permanent video of the new record.

There's never been a real confirmation but it seems extremely likely that he's だるるん. The other option is that the both guys just happened to play on the same board but that seems fairly unlikely. In any case it seemed like he's still going to go for an improvement. That run wasn't perfect by any means since there was a death in st3 and I believe little bit of time without 100k due to it. Also the end bonus can be improved by not bombing the last boss (he bombed twice) but that would be really crazy.

I guess for a confirmation we can wait for the score most likely be submitted to the new high score site when it finally opens up.

Thanks for the replies guys, seems like it is indeed him. Amazing he got such a score even with a stage 3 death.

Shows there's still room for improvement, so I'm sure we'll be seeing more from him later.

I've finally finished updating the listings to include ship types as well as additional modes and autofire on/off where needed. This opens up the field quite a bit and I hope encourages people to go for more community records. There are still lots of ship types that don't have any scores listed, so one could take plenty of records simply by default, or impress friends and neighbors by tackling existing records like Ratikal's mighty DDP SDOJ A-E score.

Also, I'm going to go through the list one more time to add more proofs of scores.

As for the world records, it looks like Arcadia's JHA site will post new Japanese scores from the past year sometime this month, so stay tuned for that as well.

Wow, sick. Here's some proofs I have for scores of mine up there

Sonic Wings Limited - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKQ2yZW87DI
Sonic Wings 2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEtRBybEL48
Shippu Mahou Daisakusen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLyiN42j5q4

Unless youtube disappears one day they should be up for a long long time.

Hey NTSC-J thanks for adding ship types and other modes to the board. Is there any chance that you can add the Dodonpachi II: Bee Storm individual ship records? Or are those not recorded?

Was the NESiCA version of Akai Katana Shin super unpopular or is there some other reason it doesn't have scores listed? edit: read something about bad input lag, makes sense I guess

It doesn't look like Gamest/Arcadia keeps track of DDP II scores.
