No problem dude and nice line up (so fardannysaigon wrote:Hi Rugdoctor,
Thanks for the quick edit!
I can definitely empathize. My Astro City was a mess when I got it, with Raiden Fighters Jet burned into the screen (special thanks to coinopstore). Even though there are some real scumbags in the arcade community, there are a lot of good people out there too. Hope you can get the monitor sorted out.moh wrote:
if there's one thing I can't stand, it's dishonest people. this is the first time I've had someone blatantly lie to my face when buying something, and to be honest, its really discouraged me as an arcade game collector/enthusiast

Should I take that 14" monitor out to make some space to show side decal of the cab ?

Please tell me you have those KRK's hooked up to the astro.jasoncslaughter wrote:My Astro City and Aero City. Good times.
They are! I couldn't stand the sound of the stock speakers. I also replaced the speakers on my Aero, and added a subwoofer:jonny5 wrote: Please tell me you have those KRK's hooked up to the astro.
I know KRK's aren't exactly top tier, but it does strike me as funny using reference monitors on an arcade machine, especially considering the bit-rates most games are pushing audio at. Never had any issues with the speakers in my astro's, mind you I don't usually play with the sound cranked.jasoncslaughter wrote:They are! I couldn't stand the sound of the stock speakers. I recently restored/converted a Versus City 1P panel to Astro.
Here's an updated photo of my setup, as it stands currently:
Yeah, the KRK's are definitely not top tier, but some of their deficiencies (i.e. overzealous bass response) actually work out for arcade games. Also, the sub I used for the Aero is a corner loading car sub, so I mounted it outside the machine facing the wall. At least my neighbors will know when I finally 1CC Daifukkatsu!jonny5 wrote: I know KRK's aren't exactly top tier, but it does strike me as funny using reference monitors on an arcade machine, especially considering the bit-rates most games are pushing audio at. Do you have any rattling issues with the sub in the aero? With the bass up, I have a picture of the whole cab vibrating in my mind.

Sharp looking speaker bezels
Thank you bros, appreciated! It really makes a big difference, and is probably the easiest thing to make them fresh looking. That and scrubbing out the scuffs with pink solution + magic erasers.man9child wrote:Opt2not, those NAC's look super clean. Those cabs pop with the fresh speaker piece.
