London meet III

A good Meet!

Attendees = thegreathopper & girlfriend, KAC, ARC, ARM, -M-, Number 0, DEL, masamune & elbarto (both days!).
Meet III ran from 5.55pm Sat until 10pm Sunday.
Locations:- Casino Arcade and Trocadero.

Ketsui now cleaned, adjusted, volume upped and 1P joystick fixed.

Casino update:

I had V.V put in yesterday (in Galuda cab)

ill6 - I also collected your EspGaluda board & have it safely at home.

ARC - I have your Batsugun Special board safely at home too. The Old Mills mentioned one thing about Ketsui during Meet III; that the extra side-scrolling causes a bullet-drift. I found this to be true yesterday, watching a bullet drift with me until it connected and killed me. I suppose its just something that Ketsui players have to live with and try to adjust their movements accordingly. The worst case of this is found in trying to play doubles on Twin Cobra (not recommended!).

elbarto - I'll meet you for a bit of a V.V session sometime soon

Anything planned for this summer? I might be able to squeeze a weekend this time, since I missed out on the last three -_-;;

Well I can rustle-up a London Meet on any given Saturday from July onwards.
ill6 kindly offered to install his Ibara board if necessary. Ketsui stays in (if LUN wishes to show us how its done

The later the better, to give everyone time to get funding and preparation (days off work, travel tickets and so on). August sounds good, back end of August would be a great time to consider.

I'm out of practice as well, havent played a game properly since before Christmas '05, so don't be expecting me to ALL Clear Ibara any time soon. ^_- I'll give you a run for your money on Cyvern though. ^_-

I'm clearing the first loop too, but of course I'd like to see how you no-bomb your way into the 2nd (watching the NIH video is nice, but I'd prefer to watch you play).

Del, some recent additions that I can lend you for the meet include:

Ibara, Mars Matrix, Psyvariar 2, Radiant Silvergun and DDP DOJ... I know that you won't want the last 2!!!

If all goes well I might have a Espgaluda 2 board too...

ill6 - Well, I do rate DOJ, i just get annoyed by having to follow a strict chain route (I like a bit of freestyle!). DOJ is worth installing & ESPGALUDA 2 would be a Meet-Maker!

i can make it, and probably bring a friend too which will help bump up attendance figures a bit. can we have even more shmups this time? as i'm also very keen on fighting games i can't help noticing each time i go to the casino that none of the many fighting games they have seem to get much use (other than Tekken 5) so i imagine they won't object to you replacing a few with shmups, Del? Also i think we should start a Casino charity fund to help them replace those ancient Electrocoin sticks with something a bit nicer

Sticks are not a problem, except that sanwas require different hole positioning on the Electrocoin consoles. & yes I saw you on the fighters just before the start of Meet III
