What in the hell? That one's just confusing. I can't even imagine the context in which it was created...

Re: Like Sonic....
I found it in a showcase of Christian sonic art.
The scary part is apparently it was NOT created as a joke: somebody actually drew this unironically as a means of expression.

Re: Like Sonic....
That's a big cock on that Christian Sonic. No wonder he had to wrap it up in something.

Oh my god... That's frightening in so many ways. Fundamentalists are just too much for me sometimes. I mean, why would you turn to a completely secular kid's franchise to express your devout faith?cave hermit wrote:I found it in a showcase of Christian sonic art.

I don't understand why people refer to stuff like this and the crusades as being from fundamentalists when they go against doctrine. I'm a Christian and I also find that photo disturbing.Lord Satori wrote: Oh my god... That's frightening in so many ways. Fundamentalists are just too much for me sometimes. @ BrianC: I understand it's gross, but what about that picture actually goes against doctrine? I mean, aside from the apparent insinuation that praying in front of a huge golden cross will shine golden muscle love down on you from above, and also turn you into a furry.
?_?
Well, don't worry about it too much.
Speaking of going against doctrine, don't you love it when comics try to teach REAL LIFE LESSONS but fail miserably?
"Just because we found this place, it doesn't mean Robotnik is here."

I also enjoy how he randomly shows his empty palms to nobody in particular. "Come lick my sweaty palms, FEKA dogs, and be glad it's not raining today"

I think the artist was trying to hard to say "hey! It's classic Sonic!!!!! Look at his old school gloves!!!!".Ed Oscuro wrote: I also enjoy how he randomly shows his empty palms to nobody in particular. "Come lick my sweaty palms, FEKA dogs, and be glad it's not raining today"
Re: Like Sonic....
That moronic, mono-cheeked grin was the most significant influence in Chris Chan's artistic life. His entire extensive multimedia canon is informed by it!
^ don't you dare scoff, CYBERBULLIES!
he makes good cash peddling his knockoff garbage to chumps on ebay! the great Sega games may be gone, but Sonic's still funding amusement elsewhere.

Re: Like Sonic....
That might not have been the right word to use. I was simply referring to people who are way too serious and literal about religion. Perhaps "Zealous" or "Devout" would've been better? Idk. I wasn't trying to imply that all Christians scare me. I've known plenty of people who are Christian that I've gotten along with just fine.BrianC wrote:I don't understand why people refer to stuff like this and the crusades as being from fundamentalists when they go against doctrine. Re: Like Sonic....
I get BrianC's point though. That panel is arguably not about Christian values - it's about praying ostentatiously and then being turned into spiny beefcake by your very own god ray, instead of living a humble life and realizing that you'll have to do with being an awkward human who is only furry inside (well, maybe that's better than the alternative...how does Shadow feel when he rolls over on his nuts?) This isn't a problem for religious people exclusively - you don't have to be religious to get nutty ideas about what to do.
Re: Like Sonic....
imo the ripped chao is what makes that pic the best thing ever drawn by man

That picture could have been drawn and posted there as a joke though. Although that's so not fun...
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
