Hmm. It doesn't make really sense. Robbery and stealing make one's life worthless, while mirrormaking, craftmanship does create something that you appreciate? And of course, you're the judge on what's worthy and what's not. Who's praised for his creations, and who's just another insect.
They shouldn't have been there in the first place. The problem is many of the burglars/robbery (I can't remember which is which) would just assume mame/kill you in the process; even if you are not in the way.

For this reason I say kill any who try. Why should we value anyone's life who go out of their way to make other's life hell?

I'm with Bloodflowers all the way on this I'm afraid. The worthless seem to outnumber the worthy now (and to me the difference is between those who can and can't live their lives without having a negative impact on other people). My only guideline to life is that I try to live mine how I please, hurting as few other people as possible. There are so many people in the same town as me whose loss would mean nothing to most people, and might even make the place nice to be. Rapists, murderers, child molesters - fuck the bleeding hearts, if they're guilty, hang them.

I'm with Bloodflowers too.

Not all people who carry weapons and break into your house at night are upright outstanding people in our society. They might not even be there to steal. Sure, the said antique mirror can be replaced, but not all people breaking and entering are there ONLY to steal, They could be there to kidnap or rape!

We have to right to bare arms...that right there keeps crime down more than you would believe.

I'm totally with bloodflowers too. Why should you invite a burgler in for tacos and coke when he didn't have the common courtesy to knock on the door and ask to come in?

If you want to act like the world is your oyster and rape, loot, and pillage you have to be prepared to live with the consequences. Nobody will coddle you while you scream "no fair!" Of course I might be biased because I come from texas. We have a long history of invaders, hoodlums, and other malcontents just coming into small towns and causing trouble. They do this right until we put them out of their misery.

To Twitch: I'm glad you are safe. I'd have been stressed too in that Rita situation.

I agree wholeheartedly.

If an intruder is in your house, you have every right to feel threatened by him. As Twitch said, you don't know what all the intruder plans to do. More than your property could be at stake- fuck the "duty to retreat". If society has to lose someone, it's better that it lose the criminal rather than the innocent person defending his life/liberty/property.

Anyone who goes out of their way to make another person's life hell has to be stopped one way or the other- whether it be by the law or a few grams of lead. An armed robber is terrorist trash in my eyes. If one messes with you and you do him in, you've saved his planned future victims from grave trouble.

Agreed. Twice I have seen people come to the gas station, grab packs of beer and run with them. My impulse is to run after them, pounce and beat their face up, like Ralf in KOF 97's ultra desperation move. The fear that they might be armed stops me though. The good thing is that last time it happened, a police car was just parking on the lot, caught wind of what was going on, and ran after them. And I got the plates and gave them to the clerk on the station.

As a kid, I didn't understand that I shouldn't stick things into wall outlets until I got shocked. Same with them. People do this crap because they think they can get away with it. Do the crime, do the time. It's not like those kids were starved or needed the beer to save an orphanage, anyway.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.
