Man, died at stupid 2-5 boss again. I milked Jupiter and the stage 5 enemies well in both loops, but missed out on the platform bonus in loop 1 (3m lost). Right now my potential would probably lay at around 45m for the first two loops. I am not fast enough on Jupiter to get the final bomb in... guess I have to study the safe spot on top of the turret.

Very fun game! I think I have the suicide bullets for loop 2 down, not that hard anymore. Loop 3 is a different story, and I haven't even breached into loop 4...

Loop 1: ~22m
Loop 2: ~45m

Lost a life stupidly in stage 11, so I didn't have enough bombs for Jupiter (only 4) and couldn't suicide there either. Died at the moving platform in stage 3. This was only my second time in the third loop, so I still have to get used to the suicide bullets there... but they seem manageable. Now I'm excited for loop 4...

Sweet! How much do you score in each loop? I had my personal best yesterday, which is 26.7m after loop 1. Things quickly turned into poop afterwards, but that was a great first loop. Loop 2 is very doable as well, but I'm always getting a little nervous in stage 12 and lose a life, and then I'm too nervous at the boss.

About 16m in each loop, but now i realized i missed some scoring tricks that will revisit later. Loop 3 is definitely where i have the most problems.

CHI, what do you think about splitting tables by ship type? it would be nice to encourage people playing Type A and C :)

After so many years of (never really) trying to clear Normal Version, I finally beat it... and with a decent score as well:

I'm still shooting for the high numbers, it's just that life often got in the way over the past few years... but now opportunity presented itself, and I might as well try to close the Batsugun chapter 8)

New Special score:

Special - AVE - 64,609,070 - 13 - Beltiana

I reached Stage 13 with 4 lives in stock and lost them all fairly quickly. Wasn't used to how the 4th loop suicide bullets behave as it was only my second time ever, and the first time in years, to try the fourth loop. My scores are now slighly lower because I do not suicide in 1-4 anymore - once I manage to beat the game, I might change that strategy back to suiciding to maximize my score. I now get 19.5-20m per loop as opposed to 25.5-26 with suiciding.
