This will probably seem like a really nerdy/anal question - but has anyone come across a Vic Viper gasha with inked panel-lines?
The biggest unanswered question is where is the money? [1CCS]

Time to open the floodgates. This is my hobby room. I have plenty of other stuff elsewhere in my house (my wife too in her own room), but this is probably the bulk of my nerd bait. I'll take you on a clockwise tour around the room. I wish I had a sharper camera. My digicam is only a 1.3 megapixel and is very old.

Image
This is my computer hutch. My computer, printer, and MD/CD player are here. Sakura Taisen, Dirty Pair, SD Gundam, Keroro Gunsou, and Linna from Bubblegum Crisis. Also a toy of the Narita Express train.

Image
further away. Kinda messy. You can see my Legend of the Galactic Heroes poster above. Yay.

Image
Here you can see my Blade Runner, ESB, and Crest of the Stars posters.

Image
Going to the lower right, here is way too many things to list.

Looking up you'll see my Bome figures and game posters: Cotton Boomerang (SAT), Cardcaptor Sakura Tetris (PSX), Sakura Taisen (SAT), and Puy Puyo 2 (SFC).

Image
Over to the right is my Dead or Alive 2 poster (DC) and the top of my games.

Image
Below that is my games collection. All of them except for my domestic SNES games.

Image
Continuing to the right, past the door is my Star Wars novels and Robotech novels collection, along with more toys, plushies, and posters.

Inside my closet. Behold many neat things. All shall love me and despair!

Image
Here's my new desk devoted to plastic model building. I just bought it yesterday. So now I won't have to ever hear my wife asking me to pack up my models off the kitchen table to make room for dinner. :D Also here is another Galactic Heroes poster as well as my Trigger Heart Exelica poster. YAY.

Image
And here's a pic of just my models. I've only built about a third of these so far at the most.

You can click on all of these images for a larger view.

For Sly Cherry Chunks:
Image
My weird luck... I wanted a vic viper, so I grabbed two of the gashapon from play-asia. These are what I got (I didn't write a note to them or anything). I'm not complaining.

My desk, with more small figures, random cool stuff, and my huge monitor:

Camera angled up slightly:

Moved from a shelf behind me:

RX-93 Nu gundam, RX-93-v2 Hi-Nu Gundam (in my avatar), papercraft Yamaha YZR-M1 (I think), and a few pieces of pure awesome in front.

btw: greg, that's awesome.

also, the room of some guy I met on IRC: lots of coke

All I really collect are my games, and I could easily get the few hundred I own in one picture if I did some organizing.

I used to collect M:TG stuff, in High School, before 6th edition or whatever =) Also used to collect Rage (which I preferred to magic) before it was discontinued. I still have all of my Rage cards, and a lot of my Magic stuff, but they both collect dust in the closet. I should pawn all my CCG stuff off minus a few playable decks just in case someone wants to go a few rounds. I still enjoy playing, but the collecting got old a long ass time ago.

I'd like to start collecting books, but I A: don't have the funds, and B: don't have the storage space. Also, when I inevitably move, books suck to move =P

I'm curious, and please don't take this the wrong way;
How many of you are collecting and also have girlfriends?
And if so, is it a problem?
No problem here, although I wouldn't want any of the 'hey look up my panties' or nude figures though. As long as they're reasonably tasteful, my partner has no issue with it. I think a lot of it has to do with the maturity of the woman and the relationship, we're both early 30s and been together over 8 years. She has her Pirates Of The Caribbean calendar (show me a woman who doesn't like Johnny Depp and I'll assume she's a post-op), and I have my figurines.

Thanks guys! I've built up a legacy of otaku stuff. However, I have no idea how I'm going to adapt my life once my baby is born in a few months. I guess it will be fine until she starts crawling around and getting into things...

Thanks, but it's nothing compared to my friend Lou's place. If we get together more often here in Phoenix, you may see him. He has pictures. He has a whole walk-in closet devoted to video games, laser discs, and anime DVDs. He uses the clothing bar in the closet to hang up all of his controllers. Easily twice as much games as I have.

In the pic above, you can basically tell what I have if you know what you're looking at. Import Dreamcast, domestic DC, import Saturn, domestic PS1, import PS1, PC Engine, domestic Saturn, Sega CD, Xbox, DVD box-style DC games, and PS2. Gamecube games, which are new to me, don't have much of a place so I lay them on top of my PS2 games. No real place for the GBA, DS, or Neo Geo Pocket either. All the boxes you see are Super Famicom, two Sufami Turbo, and some Bomberman multi-taps.

Ghegs wrote:Dude, mad props right there. LotGH is quite possibly my favourite anime ever. I want one of those..
I love the show, but I haven't finished watching it. I need to start up on it because I now have all the fansubs, except for the prequel series. The LOGH poster above my Trigger Hearts poster is for the Sega Saturn strategy game.

Zebra, here's my friend's den of iniquity. He lurks on here mostly on the trading forum here. He says the pics of the games is a bit outdated. He may post some updated pics himself.

<EDIT>
Deleted links at ncc1701p's request. He will be uploading updated pics on his own in a few minutes. Yay.

That's insane  I'd be scared to walk inside his closet! And his setup is ridiclous.

BTW, is he a Bemani fan, or is he just into collecting controllers? I see he's got some Beatmania ASCs, and even some official Konami Keyboard Mania controllers!

That's great, I'm a big bemani fan too (recently converted.) You ever go to Golfland in mesa and play on the IIDX Gold machine they have over there? It's not in great condition, and I don't think it's the full cab either, as it's not all encased in steel like it should be. Well, it's nice to play on a good control panel, anyway.

By ridiculous I meant "I can't believe all of those sweet consoles are hooked up at once in such an orderly fashion."

BTW, have you seen the stuff DJ Dao is making? The "real edition" is just... phew! I'm sure you'll get pounded by the shipping + customs if you order from him, though.
Personally i LOL at the guitar heroes/Rockband folk
I have nothing against people liking their favorite game, but some people decide to go to every youtube video and post about how Rock Band is the real game, and it's the best and blah blah blah.

PS Rockband is boring and easy like the last boss in Xexex

I rarely go to golfland anymore. Maybe im just becoming an older turd :) but my last few experiences there just didnt jive up to me. Honestly when you go to Japan and experience its arcades the ones here are rather moot. Though don't get me wrong at least at GL you can actually hear the game. Maybe w/ the advent of rockband and guitar heroes there could be no one there to play the game these days :D . Then I'd be willing to go. And thats for the setup comment. I didnt quite understand what that meant. I'm like bad/good/wacky/dumb? haha

If it wasn't for Mr. Greg I wouldnt be here posting. I rarely log on here to post/chat/troll/etc...

Also u checked out the myspace vid i posted?

I was a toy freak back in the day, Battle Beasts, TMNT, GIjoe, Transformers, Robotech, good memories. I'm actually getting back into the toy scene even though I'm broke as shit these days and this isn't helping

www.super7store.com

I could easily see myself getting into the girly-panty anime toy scene but again, broke as shit atm.

Now I would call it a collection, but there are at least 2 complete series in it. :P

I have more stuff, but am more of a stocker than a displayer.

Anyway, on the bedroom tv there are:

And my personal fave plushy:

I seriously appologize to all the low bandwidth people for spoiling that with my lousy pics. But didn't I just make your day posting a pic of Stafi. :P
