some of guwanges music could arguably be used for rap
Hahaha, I've actually had that very idea. Along with the "Magitec Factory" song from Final Fantasy Six, that would make a Dope beat as well (seriously, DL it). And while we're at it someone needs to use the Yojimbo soundtrack to make some beats.

On topic I think this is a good idea. After I get my degree and have some time to do things, and I make a game, I'll fill it with beats.

ghettoblaster underground
Frickin' genius....

Anywho, rap could work. Some Deltron or Jedi Mind Tricks could work. What'd I'd really like to see a Venetian Snares styled soundtrack or even better, for Discordance Axis to reform and do the sountrack to a shooter. Just thinking of it makes me want to watch the Ikaruga video 50 more times.
Feedback will set you free.

Just think of the rap-lated stuff that could be made into weapons...

Sonic waves that blast out of a 9000 watt bass system.

Spinners that shoot out and saw enemies to pieces.

Cars so blinged out that they blind enemies when they flash.

50 cent is to ears what tabasco sauce is to eyes. I have no clue why he is so popular because he is one of the worst rappers ever. His lazy rap is terrible. I think rap could work in a shmup especially without lyrics. Probably the most suitable style would be an overhead car shooter something like Spy Hunter. A lot of the music choices in shooters has to do with the pacing. Fast shooters typically have faster music while slower ones have slower music that fits.

It depends...if it fits the game, I might. I hate about 95% of all rap music so I probably would not.

We let the topic breathe for a while to see where it would go, but it didn't seem to have turned out too favorably and is barely on-topic. It's time to let this joke topic sink.
