High res yes, photorealistic no. It seems like Strikers 1945 II tried to have more photorealistic graphics than the first, and I'm not exactly a fan of the look.

Sports games have been around for almost as long as games themselves. Hell, remember those portable LED things? Madden was just the first one to go beyond being a popular sports game and became a bonafide franchise. It was almost just a luck of the draw thing, really.

Understood, but at least EA have an identity. They don't try and make Sonic games for example.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

I'll agree with that, but Sega was making sports games before EA was, including football, and their baseball series was the defining standard for a long time, so it wasn't totally out of character for Sega.

Wha?

Where did you hear this? :?
Notice how Halo 2 felt like it had been cut in half? Where's the other half of the game gone?

It was finished for Xbox, but as Microsoft wanted a Halo at Xbox 360 launch it was cut in half and the second half moved to the new console.

Halo 2 was meant to be the last Halo, yet the story was unfinished. Halo 3 WILL be the last Halo as far as the story is concerned.

Halo 2 was not "unifinished" as so many people say. It just had a cliffhanger ending. The whole game told a huge part of the story that needed to be told and Bungie just couldn't find a good place to stop it.

Personally I would have stopped the whole game as the Master Chief and Cortana were going their seperate ways. They say "this is it BUT we will meet again if stuff works out" cue dramatic music in the vein of Halo 1's ending and a fade to black. It wouldn't have seemed like Bungie was just interrupting the action and it wouldn't have intruded so much into Halo 3's storyline.

Really the whole unfinished thing mostly comes from the same people who wish Lord of the Rings was just one gigantic movie or huge bible sized book. It's ridiculous.

Halo 2 actually had a complete story arc. It began with the Brutes taking power in the Covenant, and ended with them losing it. Master Chief was just kind of along for the ride in this game... the Arbiter was the real focus. But since people saw Master Chief as the main hero again this time around, the ending felt like a sudden stop to them. It certainly pissed me off until I realized what the plot really spent most of its time focusing on.
