EDIT: I'm ranked #153 there. Pretty far from the top!

Thats kinda the OPPOSITE of what i heard about the comparison from maniac and arrange.TWE wrote:FYI a Maniac ALL is harder to do than an Arrange mode ALL. So don't feel so bad.elfhentaifan wrote:what the hell

Isnt the arrange TLB harder than the whole maniac mode.
With quite a bit practise maniac is doable within a month (for a normal skilled player)
But i dont wanna know how long this TLpooeyB is in your way for the ALL attempt.

PROXIMITY + SHOT BUTTON. Just try to get close to enemies on the top of the screen as they appear, and hold the Shot button down. This makes your multiplier rise quickly. Of course you need to map out a somewhat decent chaining route as well.Squirrel wrote:How in the world are you guys getting those kinds of scores on arranged, I just got my high score going into stage 5 with only 80 mil...
What's the scoring trick to this?

I just found some threads on it, including the guide that you wrote. Its like playing a different game, I'm actually doing better playing it normally than trying to bank on score.TWE wrote:PROXIMITY + SHOT BUTTON. Thanks for letting me know, that would be why I was getting better scores playing it like that. I just gotta get closer, and especially in stage 2, where I can rack up those points where I never thought I could.TWE wrote:The guide I wrote was for Maniac/Ultra modes. Be sure to play Arrange differently (there's no "tapping" involved in Arrange mode, just proximity plus holding the Shot button down while chaining enemies together)
Hopefully by tonight I'll be putting up over a 100 mil score

Perhaps, in good time. In the past I've had a few cracks at Maniac which, perversely, seemed easier than Original mode. Then I learned about Maniac's scoring system, and that really put me off (at least, for now). When I have some free hours to invest in perfecting positional play, C button slaps at quarter second intervals, A button slaps at 1 second intervals, and of course comprehending why/when/how to execute these attacks, I may yet find the inclination.GaijinPunch wrote:Why don't you two girlie men pony up and play Maniac?
The same lack of time and motivation has kept my score below 27mil on DDPDOJ, 30mil on DDP, 18mil on Galuda(Arcade), etc. Galuda Arrange grabbed my attention of late because it at least gives the illusion you can move around freely without serious detriment to your score (I still average in the region of 100mil, even after several lagers). In this respect I find it similar to Mushi Original.
