I'll admit it, things like that bother me too...

This actually does annoy me, but I'll have to find a way to live with it.Ed Oscuro wrote:I cannot buy this, the logos, they are at completely different heights]
My Questions are:Zero Gunner wrote:...collection that includes a special bound book version of the manuals, the DLC on a disc, 10 OST Cds, 7 Superplay DVDs, and the games themselves
How come you are making this thread even longer by complaining about people complaining about lolis? Try doing something useful, you may start as well answering my questions.Pallerå wrote:How come this thread has reached over 10 pages and still consist of something else than compalining about "lolis"?

CDs: http://vgmdb.net/album/38237dorelas wrote: - are there OST CDs in the collection as well? Seems like there is not much place to cram all these CDs.
- Can you please list which Superplays (and osts) are included? Some boxes have only japanese letters (CAN'T...READ...RAGE )
- What ONE Cave game is NOT included in the collection? (5pb doesn't count, i know)
So yes, they're the original dvd's. And no, they're far from rare.Skykid wrote:
Ah, I think I see how this special box came about.![]()
Judging by the pic, it looks like Cave must have had a truckload of surplus DVD stock unsold - enough to fill however many of these collections they'll be producing - and tried to figure out how to shift them out the door for profit. The answer:
Reprint the games in two cheap multicases, whack the DVD's in the box, sell the lot for $300 a pop.
This set isn't a homegrown idea for the ultimate Cave 360 collection, it's simple stock clearance business.

Yep, they are included inside the Box.dorelas wrote:@Kai sorry about asking the same question 100 times, but maybe i didn't specify well what i meant. is this -> http://vgmdb.net/album/38237 really included in the CAVE Shooting Collection X360 or is it a separate release?
They also have to buy at retail and use a middle-man since it's Amazon JP.Skyline wrote:That NCSX price seems a little steep from the initial proposed cost of about $320. Then again they're probably passing the cost of shipping from Japan to their warehouse over to the customer.
No problem. It took cracker jack timing to find that price. Luckily for me, I was born ready.Kollision wrote:Thanks for the preciosu tip, Mr. Kurt Burton!
are you talkin' to me?DrTrouserPlank wrote:Incidentally, they should have printed a Goo-Wang disk, that would have made this collection sell twenty times as much as it will do.
Thats a LOT of money...but I'm still considering it for the DVDs.Jack Burton wrote:Pre-ordered it from nin nin games. It's on sale for 27,900 yen (~$293 dollars). I got fedex shipping for 3040 yen. $324 shipped via fedex.
Well, to me it seems like a $28 dollar price increase plus shipping on top of that. Not too bad compared to alot of the other options (NCSX=$399+shipping). If you don't have friends on japan, it seems like the best option to me.CID wrote:So I think I'm just going to order it off Amazon.jp. The conversion to USD comes out to about $265. I'm going to have it shipped to a friend in Japan and then have him ship it to me. $324 seen like a bit of a jump in price. Is that just to get around the shipping issue? Or is there more to it? Surely there are cheaper alternatives?
Not disgusted, disbelieving. It's your cash folks, buy the same shit five times over if it suits you you.DrTrouserPlank wrote:Who's double-dipping here?

the secret lover contains runs for mushihimesama original, maniac and ultra modes, which said modes are included on the mushi 360 port. definitely a great superplay to pick up.hvx wrote:Does that superplay "The Secret Lover" (not included in Cave Shooting Game Collection) correspond to any modes found in Mushi HD?
I agree it's a bit overboard but people collect all sorts of useless objects, some of which have no real use other than being what they are and providing enjoyment in some form to the person collecting them. For example, I collect CAVE games; they sit on my shelf, cause me to rant on this forum and don't really cause me much joy in the general balance of positives vs negatives. By all accounts they are pointless nick-naks that sit there and don't do a lot, but I enjoyed acquiring them.... probably more than I enjoyed playing them.Skykid wrote:Not disgusted, disbelieving. More usually. I nearly only ever play arrange modes on 360 ports if I own the PCB. Pointless otherwise.DrTrouserPlank wrote:I agree it's a bit overboard but people collect all sorts of useless objects, some of which have no real use other than being what they are and providing enjoyment in some form to the person collecting them. I'd wager you probably own at least one PCB of a game that you also own on the 360? That's a double dip of sorts, although granted that the PCB can almost be considered to be "rented" as it's resale value is likely to be roughly what you paid for it.
