Star Parodier's on VC now in the US. But it's not translated at all, lazy bastards at Hudson left it raw.

I actually prefer it that way. It hasn't hampered my enjoyment of the game at all.

Kind of surprised they actually put that up. Recca next, please.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Perhaps ninendo sees some sale value in shmups from yesteryear?

Is Cho Aniki actually a decent game, or is it just popular for its novelty value? I've never had the chance to play it.

The Wii is so popular in my household that I actually decided I needed a second one if I was every going to be able to play myself. So, no, no plans to sell.

My plan atm is to see if Cho Aniki is ready for download. I've always wanted to check this game out, but never bothered to hunt down the PCE version.

So, yeah, Cho Aniki is now available. Haven't had any real time with it yet, but the music alone is something to think about.

How's the TG16 version compared to the arcade version?

Every time I play it for a few minutes, I find myself wanting to play something else. The beginning stage just doesn't draw me in. But, then, I'm not the biggest fan of horis. I haven't given up on it, though.

Then there's that disembodied giant green head italian guy...

looks like Hudson's VC website now says an october 20th release date for Gradius II. Guess it's not out yet.

Gradius II is now out in NA on the VC. I can't wait to give it a try!

(I would've just edited my post above but I wanted to bump this thread)

So if I enter the code to change into "Acrade Mode" I would play one level less. i.e. not playing the extra level. Am I correct?

Are there any other difference for being in Acrade Mode?

Cho Aniki was pretty cool MathU, you can adjust the speed so high its fuckin crazy man  It was one of the only VC SHMUPS I played that had crazy bullet patterns, almost like a watered down bullet hell :P. But the best one I've played so far is Gley Lancer, game rules 8)

Agreed, and how about Power Strike II while we're at it? I got another Wii, and love Star Parodier! :D It's great how you get to play as a PC Engine!

Gradius II on the PC Engine is great, but I kind of wish they had put up the Famicom port; I just love the Konami/Contra sound effects!

Gley Lancer is fantastic, the explosions are almost Raiden DX quality!

MUSHA got released on the VC in Japan in April, any chance that we'll get it?

So about gradius 2. If I have the Gradius Deluxe Pack, do I have this version of 2 already? Or is this TG16 one completely different?

The TGCD version has an extra stage, but is otherwise more or less the same.
