Yuck! Dreamcast can do better than that (under defeat) in visuals. When will a real game come out on Dreamcast? All we're getting are lame shumps with PS1 graphics. These guys are killing the Dreamcast. they should stop making games until they learn how to make REAL games. They should go to school and take some programming courses so they'll learn how to make real games.

Radirgy and Under Defeat are homebrew, even if they came from a lot of people, because they didn't come from an actual company. And I wouldn't call those games "quality", since they actually make the DC look like a prehistoric piece of shit. Which makes me real mad, because the DC is a great console and deserves ONLY the kind of games that came out for it when it was alive, not the same old crappy 10 year old 2D scrolling shooters that's being released by a bunch of people that shouldn't be making games in the first place.

If they are real companies, why don't they make real games for it? Games like the ones Sega makes, the ones Capcom makes, the ones every other real game company makes? Why don't they make a game like Shenmue? A game like Resident Evil? An RPG? A racer? An action/adventure? A platformer?

That's why I don't consider them real companies.

I recently got a chance to check out a board on Namco's site, these guys with 4,000 + posts called old games dumb and said they had bad graphics. Typical new age kid who has a silver spoon in his mouth and never seriously cut his teeth on any tough game (shmup, platformer, whatever).

There's another kid on the Castlevania Dungeon forums (which I mod), called shmups dumb, I dared him to come here and say this, I know he'd get his words shoved down his throat .... err I mean learn a thing or two from the masters of shmupping. Then there's the genius reviews-

X2 has Super Nintendo style graphics, yet this was an early Playstation One game. The animations of the bullets is awful, the Backgrounds are not good to look at eithe

Gradius III & IV are ports of old SNES games

Gradius IV- 6/10 This is the same as SNES too, except for bosses, a few bubbles, and improvements. I wouldn't mind this at all if the improvements blended in. Most of the bosses look like they are straight from a PSX game. This would be fine except for the fact that they are against SNES backgrounds.

Gradius IV came out on the Snes!? Must have missed that one.
