Two Transparent Green Six-Sided Dice. They originally came from Clue: Master Detective, but I used them for all sorts of other games and they were the dice I always used when playing Battletech. Accidentally left them at a Magic: the Gathering tournament around 18 years ago and one of the other players kept them. Never found transparent green dice that were so nice ever again. The ones I find are always misshapen, cloudy, pale, smaller, lighter, duller, etc. I no longer play Battletech, but I still look for replacements whenever I see dice for sale.

I've had other things stolen as well. LEGO minifigures, Magic: the Gathering cards, CDs, etc, but the two dice always bugged me the most. I am much more bothered thinking about the things I've sold.

Not "stolen" according to the crap company...but I was banned from an sc2 account (first PC game I had bought for around 10 years) for replying to people who said all kinds of things. That's when you know a company has gone off the rails. Make incentives for playing 2v2 then ban people who get annoyed (making it into a WoW like subscription service of sorts). Keep rules vague enough to be able to do it completely arbitrarily (still nobody was able to point out exactly why I was banned). Can't turn off chat for "tactical reasons" (quite tactical to try to squeeze out a second purchase from the same player).

10k games logged and in a weak moment I tell a teamkiller who spews death threats and calls me X number of ugly names to go F himself in Swedish...I'm the one to get banned and the final mail reads for "anti-semitism in bavarian" (didn't even know bavarian was a language?). No additional review (or even attempt to smooth over why they can't tell german from swedish) no nothing the theft of an account even if caused by complete incompetence of mods is final. Could write a book about how bad the customer service is too (was barraged by cursewords from "support" for calling them out immediately [asking for the manager lead to the reply that they don't answer to anyone and to contact their legal team...doing so ofcourse forfeits any "help" as it's then a legal matter]...crazy stuff).

Alrighty then Blizzard you never get money again and piracy ftw.

Lol, so apparently anything that is said angrily in german counts as "anti-semitism"?

Sketchy and somewhat terrible moderation has always been a pet peeve of mine. I was banned years ago from MoTK because of a glitch in the forum software that allowed me to access the admin control panel. I thought it was just the login page so I just tried to type in my password a few times but it didn't work. They flipped their lids because they thought I was trying to break in or something, and I got banned. I tried to work it out on the irc channel afterwards, but they wouldn't listen. I eventually made a video showcasing the glitch, and explaining my logic of how I didn't realize it wasn't the regular login page. I was eventually banned from the irc as well because I "made a big deal out of it". The glitch was fixed, but I was still banned. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised considering that I was probated (their version of a temp ban) earlier for a week for using the word "download" and they thought I was condoning software piracy. (the game I was referring to is free)

It's been a long time, though, and I really don't care anymore. I've moved on to different communities.

Nothing to do with anti-Semitism and utterly off-topic, but Swedish sounds particulary German-like for a Germanic tongue to me. To the point where I can understand how the abundance of certain sounds can make Polish sound Portuguese to some.

Oh god... I'm moving tomorrow and I'm terrified of something getting destroyed/stolen. I guess most people aren't going to be interested in 80's Japanese pop LPs but still.

Many years ago I lent Suikoden II to a friend of my sister's with predictable results. I got it second had and very cheap, but I never got round to playing it much. There's always emulation I guess.

Make sure you finish Suikoden 1 first, then use your savestate with II's New Game. Makes the all-round awesome game all the better for it. I consider Ted Woolsey's translation precious on a par with Chrono Trigger. At least back in the day a jRPG not not dildo-fied in translation felt double-precious to me.

After Burning Man 2013 I left my cameras in my hotel room like a fucking moron. 5 old film ones, and a Canon 5d Mk 2 (w/ a Zeiss lens on it). My shitty laptop was in the room too. I came home after work one night to find the door busted off the hinges. What was gone? Just the Canon... they left everything else. I could have sold the set for about $2k used on Ebay, which sucked, but what was worse was there were also some photos of my then GF in her naked splendor on the card. I didn't want them to accidentally pop up at work, so I hadn't downloaded them yet. She was thrilled about that, lemme tell you.
