R-Type's is a memorizer, this is to alienate female players, because men have larger brains and therefore memorise easier, it was made as an attack of their true inner goddess.

All the female characters in SF dress like cheap hookers.

I say, have we wandered into actual sexism here?

Ikaruga is an allegory of the war between sexes, the black polarity representing the male, the white representing the female. Of course, using white to represent the female is a sexist characteristic - the absence of colour regularly identified as 'pure' or 'virginal'; a stereotypical male appropriation of supposed female virtues. To this end, the association between white being virginal reflects the way that men assume youthfulness is attractive and that a non-virginal woman is somehow of lesser value. Being a game directed by and predominantly created by males, it is unsurprising they couldn't think of any alternative to represent the feminine aspect of the game than a typical man-fantasy about unsoiled vaginas.

You're trying to make the "colored" creatures disappear. Also problematic that "interracial" matches aren't allowed.

Opp, wrong "ism." It's early. Let's try this again:

Puyopuyo is clearly an allegory for a woman's biological clock. The pieces fall one at a time at regular intervals, like eggs in the menstruation cycle. Each egg that she fails to find a "match" for is wasted, and eventually eggs will stop falling and all she is left with is bitter memories of wasted potential.

Scout is obviously transsexual, he was treated horribly throughout his life because of it.

Quake is obviously an allegory for an orgasm and represents one-sided sexual relationships.

Actually for Quake I would have noted that the final boss is Shub Niggurath, a female fertility goddess. The player is a man who firmly overthrows this symbol of womanhood who has risen beyond her cultural place in society, putting her back in her "place".

She's also a lovecraftian horror but that's not as important.

Dammit, I totally forgot that part! To be fair, though, gender is the last thing you'd think about when talking about a lovecraftian creature.
