If no-one's noticed, most of the games people are bitching about being removed are later Taito F3 hardware games.
Guess they couldn't get the emulation up to speed (and yes, it's all emulation, some of the guys are well-reknowned in the Arcade emulation scene). F3 is a real slow beast to emulate thanks to the crazy gfx hw.
As an aside, this months EDGE has an Interview with the guy behind Space Invaders and PopNPop and the guy behind Volified and a few others that I can't recall.
Taito Legends not as good as expected
It's Taito, but the SNES ones may have been designed by Natsume, though I'm not 100% sure about this. I know they were published by Natsume. The game in the Japanese Taito pack is the arcade version and not the SNES game, though. If I remember correctly, the arcade game is a bit more simplistic. Aslo, the original name of the games is Kiki Kaikai.Moogs wrote:Um.. I thought Pocky & Rocky was Natsume, not Taito.

That is correct, and Kiki Kai Kai was a PC-engine game that was never released outside of Japan.BulletMagnet wrote:I remember someone here saying that the "Kiki KaiKai" on the Taito collction is the first one in the series, while the two released on the SNES were actually sequels to it, but I don't know how accurate that is.

The Taito Memories developers did manage to pull off some decent versions of Arabian Magic, Gekirindan, Cleopatra Fortune, Darius Gaiden, Grid Seeker, and Akkanvader. Whoever developed the Memories packs for Taito should've probably been consulted on the F3 titles.PsikyoFan wrote:If no-one's noticed, most of the games people are bitching about being removed are later Taito F3 hardware games.
