Hmm, I don't know if I'd call this a collection, but I have Kaneda, his bike, and Joker the clown leader from Akira.

The girl figurine (Nodoka Miyazaki from Negima, if you must know) came free with the magazine (Dengeki Hobby July edition, costed me barely USD$4.)

It's rather small though...

Let's see... gundam gashapon, SD gundam models (at $4 each, I ended up picking up about 8 in tokyo), a 25cm 1/100 gundam model, and now I'm trying to add a few papercraft models. I've built a metal gear rex (http://www.namakoteam.com/archives/572003-5172003.html) and a Yamaha YZR-M1 us edition (http://www.yamaha-motor.co.jp/global/en ... apercraft/).

If you want to try the Yamaha models, don't try the m1 us, the yellow one. There's a problem with the fuel tank that ends up screwing up the whole model.

Yay for resurrecting long dead threads. I know there was another of these in which (I think) Icarus posted a picture of a fairly insane collection.

I recently got Kasumi C2 (black) - 1000 piece ltd edition, and not one of the HK copies :)

And here are all the girls on top of the JP games + anime cabinet:

And Grave still lives on the television. I can't find his photo right now, it's the really big one with about 50 articulations and real metal chains on the coffin.

Yes, 'twas me that has the obscenely huge figurine collection. Its got bigger lately, with the addition of the Ibara girls, Matsumoto Rangiku (from Bleach) and Mizunashi Akari (from Aria: The Animation).

Most of my collection you can see here, about three full rows of figurines going from front to the wall. More are floating around somewhere.

Nice to see you scored the limited edition black/gold Kasumi figurine. ^_^ Been interested in that one myself, but I already have the Costume 2 version Kasumi (with the white and red costume) so it wouldn't be much point in having two Kasumi's in the colection. ^_-

Right now I'm tracking down an Etna (fron Disgaea), Saber and Rin (from Fate: Stay/Night) and patiently waiting for Shasta and Lace to be released.

Nodoka! Cute mini figure of librarian-chan, that. I've been looking at the Mahou Sensei Negima stuff recently, but I am holding off for a 1/8th Kagurazaka Asuna or Konoe Konoka if they ever appear...

Man, I blew a bunch of money quite a while back on Five Star Stories garage kits. Unfortunately, I never found the time to devote to constructing them afterwards, so they are sitting in large boxes. The crown jewel has to the the work shop cast jagd mirage, which comes in a fricking HUGE box and has an unbelievable amount of parts. Someday...

If anyone can gind a good home for some of them, let me know - lord knows when, if ever, I'll find the time to put them together.

Lately, I've really wanted to buy the new Macross veritechs, but I just can't seem to ever have the money...this damned forum's getting me to blow all my moolah on old school games.

One thing that surprised me is that you can now get HK bootlegs of figurines. Is there nothing they won't bootleg?

The bootleggers always target the collectible stuff, as they know that it'll be worth a lot of money to the right people. That's why you see the occasional bootlegged Kasumi figure (especially the red/white and black/gold versions), whole-series-in-three DVD collections of anime (normally stuff downloaded off bittorrent and re-encoded into DVD video format), or a pirated version of Sapphire/Radiant Silvergun, or anything else that can be sold for a decent price.

Nowadays, I get my figurines from reputable sources either by pre-order or regular purchase. I only ever buy stuff from HK if it comes from a good source, and I never buy anything from a HK eBay seller. Not unless it was an item I really wanted, it was the only one available, and I had heard of good customer feedback regarding said seller.

It's disappointing to know that there are boots of even the most basic of things, and if you aren't alert to the fact, you could end up paying for an inferior copy. The inability to inspect the goods before purchase makes it more difficult to avoid being snared by bootleggers nowadays. -_-;;

You know, I promised myself I would not buy another figurine until I cleared out my current collection of ones I can live without. And I was doing quite well too, haven't bought a figurine for a year now.

That was until a friend of mine pointed me to this.

Ayanami Rei from Evangelion. Alternate character design by Shunya Yamashita (Final Fantasy X's non-player character and weaponry designer), sculpted by famed fig sculptor Mitsumasa Yoshizawa.

Guess what I've just preordered. -_-;;

Just figure out why it is so easy to sold a figure here at the trading station... :lol:

I got only limited display spaces (three figures at a time), when I got new ones, I got sold the old one.

Currently displaying two girls from Shikigami no Shiro 2 and another girl from Fate.

By the way, does anyone interested in Anime/Game figure kits? (you have to build and print it, usually sold for more than a completed figures.) I bought quite a number of them, but can't find the time to build them, and now I even lost the space to use my Air Brush. :(

I always wanted to collect toys but I don't have space to store them. If I wanted to collect toys it would be planes (real and shmup planes), tanks, maybe few Gundams, and maybe the Space Battleship Yamato. :D

I'm not big into anime figurines. I once gotten a lot of them before and I later gave them away from free (Didn't want them, so meh).

About the planes, IlMrm's collection is nice. :D

(quite eerie that previous post is from someone recently discussed poster..)

anyway, I got quite amazing birthday gift and I thought this would be the thread to post the pictures..

So, after unwrapping 34 layers of package, I uncovered brown box which had this sticker..
Image

and what it had inside?
Image

that's right; complete shooting game historica collection!
Image

I was pretty gobsmacked and that's an understatement
Image

If this was not amazing gift I don't know what is. It has Vic viper t301, R-9A arrow-head, silver hawk blue and red type, DF-1 daedalus and Metarion
Image

so they are now beside akira on my shelf

I'm curious, and please don't take this the wrong way;
How many of you are collecting and also have girlfriends?
And if so, is it a problem?

ha ha, you're thinking of stereotypes :lol:

I have a girlfriend. All my figures are presents I got. I'm still a nerd though.
And that was never a problem.

Yeah, but then again you don't seem to be collecting girls :)
And by no means did I mean to stereotype anyone I'm just curious if It does in any way affect relationships.
I've known a couple of guys who had to throw away a bunch of posters because their gf's got jealous/disgusted.
