One of your links contains downloads to pirated doujin games. I'm pretty sure that's something we don't want to promote on the forum.D wrote:One time, it was a hassle to get running, then on another pc it worked flawlessly. You might need to download additional files to get RIV running, don't remember sorry. Try googling and possibly some exotic forums like:BPzeBanshee wrote:I knew the port existed but it actually runs better too? Indeed we don't. Post in question edited accordingly.

Re: How many Pc ports of STGs Exist?
The PC RayCrisis is based on the PS1 version instead of G-Net. Shame, because you lose the other things found on G-Net (sharper graphics, 2 player, and smoother transition from stage to boss).ciox wrote:Taito's RayForce, RayStorm and RayCrisis received PC ports though getting a hold of them might be difficult. (and require DosBox or something)
Sega has Mega Drive Classics collections on Steam, one shmup you can find there is Bio-Hazard Battle: http://store.steampowered.com/app/34316/
I tried the PC version of RayForce (found it for $5) and it's sorta bleh. Pretty much all of the line scroll effects from Saturn's Arcade Mode are stripped away. Not including a Tate mode was sacrilegious. The cramped play area of the Yoko layout makes this one just about unplayable.
Did the PC version of G-Darius port over the slowdowns and the mid-stage BGM pause, or is it more like the arcade in that respect?
Kinect? KIN NOT.

I can confirm this. Game installs and runs fine in Win7 64bit.AntiFritz wrote:My 5 minutes of googling seemed to indicate that the pc port was distributed as disc 5 of the "Milestone Sound Collection".
As seen here
also, XIISTAG has at least a PC Demo of the first stage

You mean XIIStag Limited? Fairly sure that's Stage 4 playing not Stage 1, software engine, and if you die once it's game over.
Nice to know the Radirgy Noah port exists and works on Windows 7 though.

Jealous, shame Milestone seems to gone under, would be cool if they could released it in a stand alone package or some kind of download service.Kingbuzzo wrote:I can confirm this. How does it play, feels like a budget release or good port?
I also think it's quite weird this has not been shown more or more people have it. No love for Miletone

Yeah I'm surprised more people didn't pick this up. I've only ever seen one other person mention owning it.z0mbie90 wrote:How does it play, feels like a budget release or good port?

The port itself is very budget. Nothing but an ini for configs, and I haven't figured out a way to set resolution or even get a fullscreen display.

I wish Milestone would release it standalone...

I already own a few of Milestone's soundtracks but the Milestone Sound Collection is just too expensive for me. I'm most interested in Disc 4 with its remixes and Video Game Music Live stuff.
Of course, that's just an opinion.
