Wow, since neither of the previous TSS ports ever made it Westward, I'm quite surprised to hear this. Hopefully it won't be too badly mangled in translation...either way if I get this game I'm getting the Japan version (since I only have a JPS2), but I'm always glad to hear of more stuff making it here, regardless.
Yeah.. but the Saturn bombed everywhere except Japan and the DC release in Japan came about the time when the US DC market started declining.BulletMagnet wrote:Wow, since neither of the previous TSS ports ever made it Westward, I'm quite surprised to hear this. Actually, with TSS:LPP, I'd love to see them do a Bangai-O-esque intentional Engrish translation. It would simply be that much more entertaining.

This happened to me with Chaos Field. The very day I was planning to import it, I heard it was coming to the States. But since then, I've heard almost nothing. Nintendo Power doesn't list Chaos Field as forthcoming. And I'm not so sure it's the best choice to bring here.mannerbot wrote:As I'm considering importing it, this happens. Wonderful news! My insides feel like happy bunnies.
In the case of TSS and Ikaruga releases here in the States make sense to me-- I can see them finding a sizable-enough niche audience. It's much less obvious to me that CF will work out.
As opposed to what, Star Soldier?professor ganson wrote: This happened to me with Chaos Field. The very day I was planning to import it, I heard it was coming to the States. When it comes to the Cube, there isn't a whole lot to choose from. Ikaruga is already available here and it would seem that XS Games hold the current publishing rights for Shikigami 2. That leaves Chaos Field and Star Soldier. Maybe O~3 will see fit to release Star Soldier after they release Chaos Field, but overall, I don't see how this is detrimental (despite the number of individuals on here who dislike the game, I'm pretty sure it'll find an audience in the US).

I'm glad you think this. I haven't played it yet, so I'm mostly relying on the responses I've read here. I just don't want publishers to make mistakes when bringing shmups to the States-- for the obvious reason that cases of failure are likely to make publishers in general wary.Kiken wrote:despite the number of individuals on here who dislike the game, I'm pretty sure it'll find an audience in the US.
it's stage four, and you don't have to beat either her or tenshin mikoto to unlock them. really might not appear until after you've completed story mode at least once (she never appeared for me until after i cleared story mode - which i did on one credit; i don't know if that matters). load ran is unlocked by just finishing story mode.Minzoku wrote:I unlocked Really Till, but I didn't beat her, yet it unlocked her as a playable character. It may be hours played or just "has played against"... not sure which.SAM wrote:Try playing some more with story mode, once you may meet Till at Stage 3? (the one with water). If you beat her, she would become selectable. And if you beat the game with her, she would ask Twinkle Star to grant her wish of have everything like back in the old days (THREE days ago, according to the story). Neo-Geo Game is then unlocked.

By the way, the new La Petite Princesse OST is actually a two disc job. First disc is the OST for La Petite Princesse, the second disc is the OST for Neo and NeoCD versions of the first TSS
Rawk. Cute-em-up music
EDIT: Oh, and it comes with a sticker sheet with all the character portraits. Wicked. I love the art in this game
