BUT emulation does have a *very* real effect when companies are still whoring out their old properties on compilations and as hidden bonuses in games. A person who may have otherwise bought the game may not because the game/bonus game he wants to play is already emulated and playable on his xbox, pc, etc. Of course, if the person still has the original system and game then that doesn't apply but then again there would be no need for emulation in that scenario.judesalmon wrote:Emulation having a negative sale on retro games has NO affect on the videogames industry whatsoever.
btw, I totally agree with the above post noting that buying a second hand game does nothing for a game company as the only person making money off the deal is the second hand seller.
