The only problem is 'will Cave give at least 1 damn about 100 people?'

For a game that's essentially done, and another they aren't programming or publishing? No.

And unfortunately that number is too small for them to care about anyways.

Online petitions never accomplish a damn thing other than taking up valuable bandwidth.

They have the slim potential of achieving something, unlike your comment which really is a waste of bandwidth, and disk space.

Now you've gone and hurt my feelings. Seriously, though, I really don't see the point in starting a petition this late if anyone actually thought it would make a difference. Cave seem to have already made up their minds, and Asada has already stated the Futari's Region Free release was a test to determine whether localization was an option worth pursuing. I suppose it is futile to post about futility.

The way i see it is that it doesnt hurt not to put your name forward in the pertition, Its not like your giving blood. If everybody who read this put their name down we would have hundreds of names. I mean the count for thread views is over 1100

tbh i dont think we will have any impact of the next 2 cave games, but im not cynical enough to think that pertitions such as these have no impact, especially if this forum joined with its french sister shmup forum both pushed a pertion for a week or 2 gotting all the ppl who like cave shmups to put their names forward even the forum lurckers

Right, but viewing forums is free and buying games costs money. I'm sure people that are prepared to pony up for the release will sign, but for others to.. well that would be disingenuous and is probably one of the reasons these petitions get ignored.

The guy running the pertition removed the need to put names down because it was also asking for dob and country/ city which is almost a credit cards worth of info
:-/

so its been altered to what we have now forum name/ country/ city which is a vast improvement over b4

Since the shmupping community (in the west) is quite small i could imagine folk from cave and other top shmup developers lurking in this forum and possibly the french one aswell. You never know it might of been all the ppl on this forum moaning about cave games been jap only that brought to their attention (or helped to) that there is a market for Cave shmups outside of Japan and thus futari going region free

On a serious note, money talks, not a small group of people on a website. But it doesnt hurt to try.
