Up and dated.

--------

Easy - Marisa.A
lite - 72,120,140 - ALL D - 1.3%

Easy - Sanae.A
lite - 61,112,400 - ALL D - 1.0%

The good thing about this game is that you can pick back up fairly easy after dying. The bad thing about this game is that you can't die as much as before.

This is going to be annoying. I can't get a windowed game without Kubuntu logging out on me, so now I have to open it in fullscreen every time I have a score. x_x

Hard - Sanae A
Kadou - 28,815,250 - 2 - 0.0%

I'll get a replay on the next one... hopefully, I will get the first level down by then. Of course, there's also the second one...

By the way, what does that time thing mean in the results screen? I think it's the one before stage and after score. I don't have much of an idea what it means.

Arrrgh I keep screwing up little things. And now I can't focus cause it's late. I know I can do a little better. If I can't improve this score I'll upload a replay.

Yeah, but isn't that a Japanese regular? It's like watching a high-scoring Korean replay of DonPachi; good to point out even if it isn't the world record.

Well, it's not that there's a big difference between Japanese and Taiwanese players. Hell, many of Touhou records are, in fact, made by Korean (eg. AM) and Chinese (eg. LYX) players.

yep, I have seen it.

Also I found out that it's possible to get 160 million in easy mode, maybe even 170m

Woohoo! It's not 160 million, but it's good enough for me:

Easy - Reimu-A
TheRealZero - 115,240,890 - ALL D - 0.4% [- Replay]

And this one isn't that high, but I figure I might as well fill in the gap for Easy:

Easy - Marisa-B
TheRealZero - 90,023,240 - ALL D - 0.5% [- Replay]

I think I'll go back to working on Hard mode for now.

I couldn't play it with my snes pad routed through a super smart joy like I usually use. Instead I'm playing with a Mayflash Stick that works just fine. I'm guessing the final release of the game will iron out such compatibility problems.

I'm impatient, and looking at the range of these scores they obviously didn't go through 30 retries to be just right, but that will be the case with Sanae B.

Normal - Reimu A
Heartbeam - 197,229,930 - 0.250% [- Replay]

Normal - Reimu B
Heartbeam - 200,113,030 - 0.190% [- Replay]

223...224M, no, I'm done. Until someone surprises me with some new stage plans other than grazing out noncards and retrying Nazrin's first endstage spell until the bullets don't spawn in the way for max bonus.

MSH made another Lunatic demo, 621 million this time. The game's scoring seems pretty flexible in terms of strategy, at least at this point, but rather rigid in terms of execution. Seems close to how EoSD is, except with much higher score amounts.

This is crazy.

http://replay.royalflare.net/replay/th12_ud7505.rpy

190 million on Easy (!) mode, and I believe more is possible. Note how the player gets new UFOs one after another!

Well, looks like that he broke the normal mode world record too. 261 million using the same tactics.

Full game is out now, and holy shit, it's insane. I'm working on a normal clear now, and can't even get to the stage 5 boss. While milking lives out of red UFOs. It's that crazy.

Normal Sanae B
Sasupoika - 153 929 570 - ALL - 0.0%

Not really a scoring-run.
This was actually quite easy. Third try.
( On final's boss last attack: "No bombs, no lives, final destination." )

Wow, nice job!

I just watched an Extra clear replay. EVERYTHING is perfect. Nue's design is on par with Flandre in my eyes, and the music even reminds me of Flandre's theme as well.

I want to buy this game so badly right now. It deserves my money.

I'll try to get a clear of Normal (or at the very least, Easy) tonight.
