CIT list is great.I'd only add/make a swap for having at least one cute'em up (Game tengoku/Sexy Parodius/Twinbee deluxe...)

CIT's list is pretty much perfect, but I think you can get even better value with more variety for $200:

Battle Garegga
Soukyugurentai
Layer Section/Galactic Attack
Darius Gaiden
Twinkle Star Sprites
Sexy Parodius

The last spot is a wildcard. Swap in Batsugun if you get some deals so you can fit it under budget (or honestly, just stretch to make it fit, it's worth it). Swap in Dodonpachi if you want the Saturn version over the PS for whatever reason.

So I never responded to any of your suggestions 16 years ago but I did buy pretty much all these games! I And I've played a ton of them and even 1 cc'd a few!

I do still need Blast Wind, Twinkle Star Sprites, Cotton Boomerang, Wonder 3 Terra Cresta 3D and Steam Hearts. Ooof I wish I had picked these up in 2009.
