Ordered from play-asia. I saw that it had 'sold out' earlier today but I just checked it and they say 'in stock' .. I hope it wasn't some sort of error. Cause I just dropped down the cash for it. :P

Let's hope it lives up to it's price ..

Edit: It's sold out again, lol.

That price is insane. I remember the HRAP1 only being 140USD INCLUDING shipping.

Well, since the HRAP1 wasn't special edition or anything, it'd make sense for the price to be lower. Plus with the SA, P-A is probably in the same situation as NCSX was with the Arcana Heart sticks—buying from someone who's buying from Hori.

I thought about getting the SA from TRNG because it would have been about the same price as a HRAP2 on eBay (!!!) ...but ended up going to NYC for a job interview and finding one there for a price that wasn't completely asinine.

189.90 + shipping.
Jumpin' cats, it was listed at $135 a month ago + S&H @ $67 .

They must be reading all the thread on all the forums & figured, "What hell! Rets raise price more!" :P

Just because it's a special edition doesn't mean the price is justified. I see no reason to upgrade from my HRAP1, and I'm sure people with HRAP2s see even less reason based on what small changes were made.

Thinking about value for money here, if people really wanted non-Hori brand buttons, they could mod the sticks themselves and save themselves about 98%.

Is it possible to use these sticks on a computer without hassle like converters and stuff? I really need a good stick for playing my PC fighting games.

Hmm, I read these things cause a couple of frames delay. Any recommendations on what to get for PC gaming?

The Pelican converter has 0 frames of lag if you're willing to pay for it

Oh, I agree—hence the "completely asinine". But the "buying from a proxy buyer" is why the price is THAT much higher. Hori was selling them for 10000 yen + shipping—only 1621 yen more than the normal HRAP2. So if you lived in Japan, it would have actually been a good deal since ten Sanwa buttons will run you more than that.

Technically speaking, there's no reason for someone who already owns a HRAP2 to get the SA at all. And there's no reason to "upgrade" from a HRAP1 to a HRAP2, (much less the SA) unless you've got version B and want to put in a Seimitsu stick...or are really finicky about button placement.

Shion, if you're looking for a PC-only stick, you might as well just get the normal HRAP3. It works perfectly on a PC, and at this point it will cost you much less than a HRAP2.

edit: lol hrap2 has more than six buttons

Yeah I am keeping the original box/packaging around in case I feel like dragging it over. It doesn't have handles though .. gonna have to find something to carry it with :P

Having that many HRAPs over would be pretty hilarious. I imagine you could hook them up to every console you've got .. HRAP party!

lol. After testing it out all evening, and most of the afternoon, I have to say I'm impressed. I was able to do much better than I usually do with pad .. but after a few hours straight I got mentally tired and started making dumb mistakes. Will have to go back at it when I'm feeling awake again.

Haha, what the hell?
News stolen from SRK—apparently the HRAP2 SA is getting a second release. Guess Hori likes money more than previously suspected...

If anyone's newly interested after seeing those delicious pictures, TRNG is taking preorders again: http://akihabarashop.jp/developments/

There are converters/adapters that will allow you to use PSX/PS2 controllers on the Saturn. This let's me use some of my custom made arcade stiks on my beloved console.
