Registration officially ends in 25 minutes. The URA will begin 24 hours later, at 12pm on Sunday Japan time. I'll post a few more details and everyone's assigned games tomorrow at 12 pm. Good luck!

Alright, lets get this thing started.

A quick recap of the rules:

- All Games must be played on default settings
- Autofire is allowed
- Unlike normal Death Roulette there is no credit limit, play as much as you want for 2 weeks
- This time only first loops will count, you can stop playing after that
- As usual you gain one point for each stag played, so by reaching stage 5 you get 5 points. Therefor you automatically get 1 point for stage 1 just by playing
- If you clear the first loop of any game you will be awarded a 5 point bonus. There are no other bonuses that will be awarded during URA
- For games that list area rather than stage, please break them up into standard stages yourself. You aint getting 50 points for a Hishouzame clear
- As usual, put all of your submissions into a single post and calculate your own final score including bonuses
- Please include a screenshot with each of your final submissions. Video would also be appreciated, especially from players who clear their games
- The tournament will end in exactly 2 weeks on Sunday March 29th at 12pm Japan time

If you have any further questions just post them here. I finished rolling everyone's games earlier, was a much bigger pain than I expected. I'm not really an expert on MAME, so if one of the games you were assigned is unsupported or has serious issues running properly (sound issues are not serious) let me know and I will reroll it. However this is the only situation where a reroll is possible.

One final note: Keep in mind this is a roulette, these games were drawn at random. Do not complain that someone has an unfair advantage due to their rolls being easy/having lots of stages. Gambling is part of what DR is.

Four games I've never played before, splendid. (The only one I've played before is Dodonpachi II, and that was only once)

As usual, I'll keep my scores in this post.

Shepardus - Salamander - 4 - 312400 - Screenshot
Shepardus - Saint Dragon - 2 - 134000 - Screenshot
Shepardus - Dodonpachi II: Bee Storm - Red ship - 5 Boss - 322,403,650 - Video
Shepardus - USAAF Mustang - 2 - 48800 - Screenshot
Shepardus - Darius II - Proco - 3 - 628490 - Screenshot

Total score: 16 (4 + 2 + 5 + 2 + 3)

uh I don't think "last hope" is supported on mame since it has only been released on neo geo and dreamcast it seems. Also when I search in mame ui nothing shows up

Now that I think about it I'm not so sure Shiki will run well in MAME since it's a Naomi game. Let me know if that roll gives you any problems. Given the sheer volume of how much different stuff I rolled, I'm sure at least a few of them aren't going to work properly, and a console only game or two may have slipped by too. Sorry to anyone this happened to.

Re-roll Gradius IV for iast please, doesn't work/is dreadfully slow.

For those who got Hacha Mecha Fighter: play the bootleg, it's the only version that plays like the PCB in MAME.

Ah you're right, that was one of those later NG games that wasn't released in arcades.

Play Sengoku Ace instead.

Cool. Excepting Twinbee, I have not played a single one of these before. We'll see how it goes!

Yeah the differences are pretty minimal I think. As long as you post a screen and no one else objects I don't have a problem with it.

I just noticed that too, doesn't run at all in MAME for me and runs horribly slowly (50% speed at best) in Demul.

Cotton Boomerang also runs very slowly in MAME for me, but it seems to work fine in SSF, albeit with very noticeable input lag. Is it okay to do the run in a different emulator or should I get a reroll for this too?

Lastly, can someone confirm if the default difficulty dipswitch settings on Saint Dragon really is "Easy"? That's what MAME is showing for me but it sounds kind of odd to me so I want to make sure.

Wyvern Wings

Omega Fighter
Sonic Wings
Raystorm
Only two I've never played before (Wyvern Wings and Sonic Wings) ... better than I was expecting. A local arcade runs Omega Fighter every couple months, so hoping to do well with that one, but definitely crossing my fingers on the others.
